Description
Our 6 bedrooms each have their own colour and theme. This room has a King size bed and a single bed. There is a small shared living room, that offers to sit together and relax with a cup of tea or coffee. Our farm invites to a short evening stroll, laying between 2 small rivers. The nearby village offers almost anything you will need. Our family of 4 is looking forward to welcoming you on our farm. Breakfast will be available for a small extra fee. The space The house used to be a living house until summer of 2017. Therefore it is great for groups up to 15 people. Both king size beds are set together of single beds and can therefore be changed into twin beds. This room offers the space for a baby bed. Changing mat as well as baby chair with the dining table are available. The drinking water (cold) in Iceland is one of the best you will find, so no worries using tap water. Beware on the other hand of the hot water: we are situated in a geothermal area, the water comes directly from the springs into our houses, therefore it contains sulfur (bad smell and taste) and can be up to 97°C, if you don't mix it with cold water. Also the heaters can get extremely hot, if opening too far. The plugs are type F. Guest access Shared kitchen with everything you will need, from a coffee cup to baking utensils for the birthday cake of your friend... Two shared bathrooms with showers, small living room, but Wifi is available in all the rooms. There is a swingset outside of the house, a small terrasse and enough space for a walk, some outside games... Other things to note Special occasions in Flúðir are 6th January, where we farewell Christmas with a bonfire and fireworks (see pics), 17th June - Independance day, first weekend of August, when we celebrate that the Monday is a holiday and the 2nd Friday in September, where we sort our sheep, that just came back down from the mountains. And on New Year's Eve we usually have a bonfire and then the view over the whole area...
