Fun Family House King Island

Spend your next King Island holiday in our spacious, recently renovated home, conveniently located 900 meters from Main Street Currie. Perfect for families and small groups, this home is an ideal base to enjoy your island getaway. Recently renovated, the home has Starlink internet, ample heating, abundant hot water, a stereo system and comfortable nooks throughout the house. The space The house consists of 2 large bedrooms with a king bed in one and 2 single beds in the other. 2 smaller bedrooms with a single bed in each. New mattresses and new super soft 2000 thread count bamboo sheets. You'll be toasty warm with heat pump, bar and panel heaters throughout the house. The kitchen is recently renovated and the laundry has a Bosch washer and dryer. The bathroom has a bath/shower with a separate toilet. The new sunroom is huge - 12 x 5 meters, complete with a climbing wall, big screen TV with Netflix, recliner sofa, books, games and art supplies. The climbing wall has a king bed mattress as a crash pad, and we've put some spare foam mattresses in the sunroom, so we can accommodate larger groups if requested. There's an expanding dining table which can seat 8. The well stocked kitchen has everything you need to cook up a storm, complete with a pod coffee machine and cold drip coffee setup. Outside you'll find veggie gardens, herbs, fruit trees and one very cute greenhouse. Help yourself to whatever is ready to eat during your stay. Guest access Guests have access to the entire property for the duration of the stay, with the exception of the garage, which is off limits to guests. Other things to note Please note, only mobile phones on the Telstra network work on the island. If your phone is with Optus, Vodaphone etc, you will enjoy quiet time on the island as your phone will not work. We have high speed Starlink satelite internet available for guests. The large TV has Chromecast with Netflix, Youtube and Spotify, connected to a Sony sound system. There is no public transport on island, so hiring a car is a must. The house is a 15 minute stroll from the heart of Currie, but to reach more beautiful locations outside of Currie you will need a car. If you get hungry after 8pm, you might have to whip up a feast at home. Most restaurants stop serving food by 8, and there is no late night service station to buy essentials.
