👋 Welcome to the Bray Chalet. A modern family cabin perfect for 2 families or quiet groups of 10 looking for a fully stocked home featuring a games room & hot tub A short 3min drive (10 min walk) from the Sasquatch base, guests can enjoy the mountain’s year-round outdoor activities like skiing, tubing, disc golf or the aerial rope course. With 4 bedrooms & 2 baths, the entire cabin is yours including our large driveway & peaceful backyard which is perfect for outdoor games, fires & relaxing. The space Our 2000-square-foot home is split between two levels. **UPPER-LEVEL** You enter the home on the main (upper) level where you will be greeted with beautiful views of our spacious backyard from oversized windows. Main Entryway - Coat hooks, shoe racks, and space to store skis, snowboards and more. Bedrooms - Room 1: Queen bed, closet & dresser - Room 2: Single over double bunk bed and dresser. Please note, the top bunk is intended for children with a weight limit of 150 lbs. Bathroom - Large walk-in shower, toilet, and double sink. - Lots of hooks to hang towels and storage under the sink. - Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap & hand lotion are included. Kitchen - Propane Stove, Fridge/Freezer, Microwave, Dishwasher, Toaster, Keurig & Drip Coffee Maker, Kettle, Knife Block. - Fully stocked with dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, glassware, and kids' dinner plates. - We provide a few Keurig pods, a small selection of tea. - The island has space for 3 to sit. Dining room - Dining table with 6 chairs. Living Room - Comfortable seating around our fireplace & TV including two oversized cuddle chairs. **LOWER LEVEL** Just off the kitchen are the stairs to the lower level. For the safety of young children (including ours!), we have baby gates available for the top and bottom of the stairs. Games Room / Downstairs Great Room - A spacious living area with a large couch facing a big-screen TV connected to a Chromecast. - Board games & puzzles. - PlayStation 4 - Pac-Man arcade for guests to enjoy (please be gentle and have fun, it's our family's favourite thing to play with!) - Basketball arcade, ping pong & air hockey table- go head to head with friends and family Bedrooms: - Room 1: King-size bed and dresser - Room 2: Single over double bunk bed with built-in drawers and a twin bed. Please note, the top bunk is intended for children with a weight limit of 150 lbs. Bathroom: - Full shower, toilet, single sink, and vanity. - Shampoo, conditioner, body wash & hand soap are included. Washer/Dryer - Brand new LG Washer & Dryer - Tide Pods and bounce sheets are provided. Storage Rooms - There are two locked storage rooms that guests will not have access to. **TECHNOLOGY** Heating The home is heated with baseboard heaters and a propane fireplace on the upper level. MYSA thermostats control some of the baseboard heaters and can be easily adjusted by tapping to your ideal temperature. The home will be heated prior to guests' arrival. We suggest if you need to warm up the home please use the fireplace for quick efficient heating. Wi-Fi Guests will receive Wi-Fi access code prior to arrival. TVs Both TVs are equipped with Chromecasts allowing guests to easily stream from their own devices without needing to log in to accounts through the TV. Front Door Entry - Smart Lock Upon booking, we will give each guest a unique code to access our front door through our smart lock. The code will be active for the duration of your stay and will be deactivated upon checkout. Ring Doorbell Camera A ring doorbell camera is in place at the front of the home for security purposes. **OUTDOOR SPACES** Patio - BBQ on the patio with propane. Hot Tub - 8-person hot tub on the back deck is protected with a privacy screen. - No glass or food in the hot tub. Use cans, or plastic containers. Backyard - Large backyard faces a protected green space making it scenic and peaceful. - Two fire pits available for use. A wood burning fire pit for when fires are allowed (wood is not provided). As well as a propane fire pit that is safe to use during the fire ban. Propane is not provided so please bring a separate tank. - In the summer the backyard is ideal for backyard games. We have a small selection guests can use or bring your favourites! - Please note during the spring/summer/fall there are bears in the area so do not leave any food outside. - During the winter the backyard is covered in deep snow making it fun to explore and play in! Perfect for building snowmen or sled hills from the large snow piles! Driveway - Large gravel driveway has ample parking for cars, UTVs, ATVs, Quads and Dirt bikes. - RVs can hook up to electrical for an additional charge. - Wash down vehicles with a hose pipe conveniently located next to the driveway. At Checkout At checkout we ask guests to please - Close all windows - Lock all doors including patio door - Start the dishwasher - Take garbage - The Hemlock Valley Transfer Station is 3 minutes from the cabin (not Harrison Mills transfer station). Depending on the amount of garbage there may be a small fee but is typically waived when you provide the cabin address. If you have any problems with the garbage or if the transfer station is closed we can make alternate arrangements! You do not have to do any laundry or strip any beds etc - we take care of all that for you :) **IMPORTANT SNOW CHAINS It is mandated by the BC government that all vehicles carry snow chains in their vehicles on Hemlock Valley Road from October to April. No Pets Unfortunately our family have severe pet allergies and therefore pets are not allowed. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire home with the exception of two locked storage rooms. Other things to note Please note our home is designed for peaceful getaways for families or small groups. As this is our family space we do not host stags, stagettes, or events/parties of that nature.
