Guest access Centrally located to the airport, hockey rink, Cochenour's boat launch for access to Red Lake fishing, cross country ski trails (40 km groomed), 18 hole golf course, beaches, walking trails, baseball field, kid play structures, 2 tennis courts,McKenzie Island ski trails can be used for walking trails in the summer. Balmertown has public access recreation center (pool, fitness center, bowling, outdoor rinks) Red Lake also has a recreation center (splash pads, skateboarding park, squash court), library and an impressive museum. Balmertown is a 10 minute drive, Red Lake 15 min. Both communities have groceries/gas/amenities/fishing supplies etc. Other things to note The home is located near McKenzie Island accessible via ferry or ice road. This small historic community offers a unique lifestyle and local people willing to share their stories. McKenzie Island offers an excellent viewing location for Northern Lights with little interference of ambient city lights. Pet are allowed for a fee of $100.
