Oakwrights is in the middle of Chelmsford, Braintree and Witham all only 10 mins drive. The space Our intimate, self-contained boutique accommodation was designed to create a warm and inviting home from home experience completely separate to the main residence. On arrival you will receive a friendly greeting by either Lorna or Noel helping with your bags. On entering you will find a large open plan sitting room with two sofas facing a TV in the corner. As you walk in, the Kitchen is positioned ahead of you on the left. It is compact and has all the mod cons required including a fridge-freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, oven, microwave, electric hob, toaster, kettle and tea and coffee making facilities. The bedroom area is located towards the back and offers some privacy if you choose to draw the curtain. Bathroom, complete with an enclosed shower, WC & Basin. Fresh Linen and towels supplied with soaps and shampoo. The room is equipped with free WIFI The two sofas also fold out into beds and can be used accordingly. A breakfast hamper is also available on request at £9.99 per person. Fresh home baked bread, bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, butter, homemade hash browns and free-range eggs from the garden are provided along with Lorna's homemade marmalade and a selection of cereals. Although positioned only a 10-minute drive from Chelmsford, our aim is to slow down time and offer up an environment that will give you a much-needed break from the ongoing pressures of everyday life. We will also equip you with information on lovely local restaurants, family run pubs, the award-winning Owls Hill tea rooms and walking trails including the Essex Way that exist on our doorstep. Other things to note 5 minutes’ drive, Chelmsford City Racecourse Oakwrights is on the Essex Way making it an ideal location for rambling - walking. Highly rated pubs and restaurants within 5 minutes’ drive. 15 minutes’ drive away is the famous Wilkins & Sons jam factory, museum and tea rooms. The Braintree factory outlet (Freeport) is only 10 minutes away as is the Braintree Discovery Centre. Colchester Zoo, the second-best zoo in England, can be found 25 minutes away. Southend airport is only 30 minutes away.
