Rowley’s Lodge is situated on Sterling Estate in the shire of Capel and is an ideal property for couples visiting the area. Our seventeen-acre estate is nestled on the edge of the Tuart Forest which boast 5 kms of beautiful landscape ideal for walking, mountain biking and horse riding and is minutes from Peppermint Grove Beach. It offers ample parking spaces and plenty of turning space for horse boxes. With prior notice we can accommodate secure horse agistment during your stay. The space About this space. ** NOW DOING LATE CHECKOUT ON A SUNDAY ANYTIME UP TO 12 MIDAY ** ** INCLUDED IN THE PRICE ** When arriving you will no doubt be greeted by our 5 resident ducks, they are friendly and love to be fed, food for the ducks is provided but they are greedy so just a hand full each a couple of times a day is amble! Your free to roam and enjoy all areas of our property stroke the horses and enjoy the natural environment. We have a beautiful dam to sit around, enjoy a picnic maybe a glass of wine and watch the world go by, for the brave your welcome to swim or have fun with a little light kayaking- swimming is best between September and early January whilst kayaking is most of the year. (We do have a Kayak and life jackets available, but please note this is at your own risk). In the surrounding areas of Capel, Bunbury, and Busselton there are plenty of places to eat, drink and relax, or you may simply wish to stay home and relax in the spacious kitchen or outdoor BBQ area. The space Rowley’s Lodge takes its name from one of the original owners, Rowley Roberts who spent his life breeding and training thoroughbred racehorses right here on our beautiful estate. In 1975 his horse Ngawyni won the Ascot Derby in Perth WA. The Lodge is a spacious single storey property in the heart Sterling estate offering two luxury bedrooms both with king beds, the Lodge boasts original polished jarrah throughout. The property is over 100 years old and has many original features which we have kept in order to maintain the integrity of the Lodge's heritage, whilst creating modern luxury to enhance your stay. The Lodge has good WIFI, a wide screen smart TV which offers Free view TV as well as Netflix, Foxtel, Optus Sports, and Stan. The Lodge offers two King bedroom and ample wardrobe and storage in one bedroom plus a further robe and storage in our luxurious dressing room. The is a very well-equipped kitchen including a self-cleaning oven and induction hob and coffee maker. There is a modern style gas BBQ in the outside dining patio area. The spacious lounge has ample comfortable seating for 4 people. Guest access The property is in a rural location and the nearest bus, train, and air links are in Busselton and Bunbury Other things to note Horses can be accommodated for short visits with prior authority from the hosts. Please contact us for more information. The tap water within the property is fed from a rainwater tank so it is advised that bottled water should be used for drinking. We provide some bottled water in the fridge but if you require additional water, we recommend boiling the water. Guest access Our guests have full access to the Lodge and paddocks but not the outbuildings or stables (unless prior authority has been agreed with the hosts). It is imperative that when exploring the land, all gates opened are closed behind you to ensure the safety of the horses and ponies. Other things to note Local horse trainers agist their horses and ponies in our paddocks and so have access to the paddocks to feed and care for their animals. You may see them from time to time during your stay, they are all very friendly so please feel free to chat to them if you wish.
