Charming apartment in a great location

Our house is full of character and charm. It is located a few steps from the main shopping streets downtown and the famous Hallgrímskirkja. Cafés, clubs, restaurants, museums, parks, playgrounds and stores are all within a few minutes walk. Our home is ideal for people who love city life, yet enjoy tranquillity. The space The property is a 118 year old wooden house right in the city centre and in restoring it we have tried to preserve its original style. The apartment is on two main floors plus a laundry room in the basement. The first floor consists of a living room, kitchen, WC and a bedroom, with a double bed. Upstairs are two more bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with a single bed, as well as a bathroom with a double bathtub and a shower. In addition there is a small study. The master bedroom has a balcony, overlooking the garden. We have a friendly cat, Snúður, and ideally he would continue to live in the apartment while we are away. If that is not suitable we can arrange for him to be cared for by a neighbour. However, we cannot promise that he won't visit, so if you are allergic or don't like cats this house is not a good option. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire apartment and the garden. Other things to note We are a family with teenagers and welcome families to our home. However, the stairs are a bit slippery and without a handrail, so please be cautious, especially if traveling with young children. Please keep in mind that this is not a guesthouse or a commercial rental unit, this is our home which we occasionally rent out while traveling.
