The space Discover serenity at Girraween Rural Retreat—a self-contained cabin that has a private front yard and an open-plan design with breezy front and rear decks. Timber-like flooring, premium kitchen appliances, large windows, BBQ and stunning outdoor front and rear decks offer expansive views of the lush greenery and the garden. Enjoy a kitchen that is fully equipped with premium appliances including a gas stove, full-sized fridge, large oven, and coffee machine. You also have a choice to dine indoors or stay outdoors on the two private decks, offering bar-top seating facing the garden or use the comfortable lounge. A daybed on the front deck completes your outdoor comfort, while a fire pit provides the perfect spot to warm up on those cool dry season mornings and evenings under the stars. Inside you’ll find a living room with a leather couch and flat-screen TV. A comfortable bedroom has black-out blinds, built-in cupboards and a plush queen bed. A glass door to the rear deck enables a view of lush greenery. A spacious bathroom features a generous shower and vanity. Additions include undercover parking, wi-fi, air conditioning, a bluetooth speaker and a washing machine. During your stay you will have the entire cabin to yourself. Please make yourself at home! You’ll be sharing the property with the owners who stay in the main house. Your space is not confined to the accommodation as you have the freedom to walk through the bush land on several kilometres of well formed tracks so the 5 acres is yours to enjoy. Guest access After arriving at Coolalinga on the Stuart highway turn left onto Girraween Road if travelling from Darwin and right if travelling towards Darwin. Continue down Girraween Road and through the two roundabouts with the first using the second exit and the second roundabout the first exit. You will travel 12km along Girraween Road until you come to Hutchison Road on the left. 98 Hutchison will be on your right past Bohn Road and is sign posted with 'Girraween Rural Retreat'. Access the lock box on the right hand side of the gate and enter the code. You will have a key and gate fob. Press the pink button on the job and further presses stop the gate and close the gate. Due to the sensitivity of the fob, do not place in your pocket as you will likely activate the gate. Hold the fob by the edges only and leave in the vehicle. The door will be unlocked when you arrive. Guests are welcome to use the entire 5 acre space including the lagoon pool and the several kilometres of walking tracks. Please treat the whole property as your own. We sincerely trust you will thoroughly enjoy your stay at Girraween Rural Retreat. Other things to note We have two domesticated Alpine Dingoes on the property who have the kindest of natures and will be very inquisitive about the new guest arrivals. If you wish to interact with them, full details about how to do this in in your welcome notes when you arrive. Please ensure the gate is closed at all times or the dingoes can escape. If this happens then let David or Susan know immediately so we can recover them.
