This beautiful home, is located less than 1 & 1/2 miles from the oldest summer resort in America, Wolfeboro, New Hampshire near Lake Winnipesaukee. With almost 10 acres to roam, located in the heart of a densely forested preserve with a big barn for hanging out with your friends and family. The space This 1795 farmhouses’ bedroom number 1, has a queen bed, bedroom number 2 has 1 twin bed, bedroom number 3 has a full bed, and bedroom number 4 has a king size bed and a childs bed. Upstairs there is a bathroom with tub/shower combo. The downstairs has a library, with a queen pull out couch, and a living room with an “L” shaped deep seated couch system large enough for 2 people to sleep on, the second bathroom is downstairs it has a shower. There is central air and heat throughout the house . There are 2 all weather farm porches. A big barn with a 72" T.V., a pub, and plenty of room to gather for family fun times together. If you stay with us in the summer there is plenty to do in Wolfeboro, or drive 45 minutes to Portsmouth to enjoy that beautiful harbor town. Boston is 2 1/2 hours away. Rent a boat from Goodhue & Hawkins, or a jet ski from Wolfeboro jet ski rentals. You could also rent a pontoon at Irwin Marine in downtown Alton Bay - If your stay is in winter, (and you own a snowmobile) we are in the heart of many trails that you can get to right out our barn door, same with Nordic skiing, we also have a ski resort less than 25 minutes away called Gunstock. You could drive a couple houses and go to Bretton woods, Mt. Washington, Waterville valley, or Attitash. North Conway is about an 1 hour North, and Sunday River in Maine is about 2 hours away. Lake Winnipesaukee has ice fishing in winter. But then of course snuggling by the fireplace with a nice bottle of wine, or a hot mug of cider could be as thrilling as you may want to get! Guest access The 1795 farm house, big barn with pub, and TV, a gigantic deck with a pool, 2 all weather farmers porches, fire pit, almost 10 acres, and a pond, The groundskeeper is in the carriage house located on this property, should you need any assistance. Amenities such as: shopping for groceries prior to arrival, event planning, availability for private chef for lobster/clam/land bakes, and much more… Other things to note The Funny Farm is also available for weddings and reunions! I have a list of local caterers in the area, and equipment rental companies also. The Funny Farm has designated areas to smoke, but there is no smoking in the home. The fireplaces in the bedrooms, library and living room may not be lit. For autumn bookings when the weather is chilly, the fireplace in the dining room and kitchen can be set up for you, if you so desire. Weather and fire regulations (due to dry weather) permitting, fires in the pit will be lit with an accoutrement of all of the ingredients for s’mores. The farm is close to several beautiful golf courses, hiking and nature trails, pontoon and regular boat rentals, restaurants, museums, live theater, a public library, shopping, and Clark’s public beach in Wolfeboro, and Alton Bay.
