Home Away from Home
A comfortable, homey atmosphere. Private bedroom & private bath just off the family room. Wi-Fi, kitchen & laundry room are available. Master on opposite side of the house. We are in residence. A lovely covered patio, barbecue pit & smoker, are available for your use. 15 min to Perdido Key Beach 35 min. from Pensacola Beach. Downtown restaurants & nightlife are about 20 min away. Going to the beach? We can provide you with the use of beach umbrellas, towels, beach cart, chairs & cooler! Our home is the perfect space if you are looking for a quiet place to sleep, shower, and relax between beach days, exploring, and/or visiting friends and loved ones. We are in a quiet neighborhood, while off the beaten path we are still convenient to Perdido Key beaches and downtown Pensacola where all the nightlife action is! The kitchen, den, guest bedroom and bath are at your disposal. If you wish to sit out on the covered patio be our guest. We enjoy interacting with guests, if that is what they wish. If they wish to be left to themselves that is fine as well. While we use the common area regularly, our guests are welcome to join us there. Ours is a quiet, safe neighborhood. We are very close to Perdido Key beaches, 20 minutes to downtown restaurants, shops, and night life, and about 30 minutes to Pensacola Beach. We understand that most of our guests will be spending most of their time at the beach or exploring downtown, and may not be in residence much more than sleeping and/or sleeping in! This is reflected in our pricing, hopefully giving you more money to have fun!! We are available to answer questions, give suggestions and directions. There is a beautiful Aviation Museum located about 15 minutes from the house at the Pensacola Naval Air Station and admission is free! Our patio, BBQ grill, covered pergola with dining table and fan, and lounge chairs are at your disposal. If you are without a vehicle, both Uber and Lyft are available. Carol was an Uber driver and knows the area well. She can make recommendations for entertainment and or restaurants. We have an enthusiastic and human friendly Shih-Poo dog. He may bark upon entry of the house, but that's his job! Unfortunately, he is not accepting of other animals as he has been an only “child” for half of his life. Due to this we have a no pet rule. If you have an animal traveling with you, including service animals, this will not be a good fit for you as it could cause a risk to or prevent your assistance animal from performing their duties. I also have the privilege of keeping my awesome 2 year old grandson Monday to Friday from about 7:30 - 2 pm. We normally walk for an hour after he arrives, then head to the park. Shortly after that is nap time!!!
