The space Guests have exclusive use of the 1896 air-conditioned, stone farmhouse which is attached to the owner's residence. You may come and go as you wish and wander the spectacular property at your leisure. The main floor is open concept with a wood-burning fireplace, a dining area, and a kitchenette with a double sink, refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, induction hotplate, gas BBQ, dishes, glassware, cutlery, pots and pans, and a coffee/tea station (Keurig, French-press and regular coffee makers, and kettle). Basic breakfast supplies are provided including milk, orange juice, granola, cereal, pancake mix and syrup, bread, butter, eggs, coffee, tea, sugar, oil and vinegar, and spices. A picnic table and clothesline are provided. Beach towels and folding chairs are available to take to the beach. Guests can relax on the front porch in classic Muskoka chairs and, with prior arrangements, enjoy a campfire. Indoors, relax by the wood-burning fireplace and enjoy high-definition television (Satellite, DVD player, Netflix, and Amazon). High-speed internet (fibre to the house) is included. Family board games are available. Upstairs are 3 quaint bedrooms (one queen bedroom and two double bedrooms) and a large bathroom with a claw-foot tub and walk-in shower. Enjoy the spa housecoats and high-quality towels provided. The Farm is 10 minutes from historic downtown Huntsville, 5 minutes from Arrowhead Park, and 35 minutes from world-famous Algonquin Park. The Big East River is a 3-minute stroll. Numerous lakes with public beaches and boat launch facilities are just a short drive away (Arrowhead Lake, Fairy Lake, Peninsula Lake, Lake Vernon, and Mary Lake). Guest access You have a private entrance to the farmhouse and are welcome to wander the property, enjoy the gardens, relax on the front porch or enjoy a campfire with the owner's permission. Parking is provided on the driveway. The Trans Canada Trail is accessible from our property and provides hiking options. Other things to note Our guests enjoy the great restaurants in the area or use the kitchenette and BBQ to prepare their own meals. Most restaurants and supermarkets offer take-out options. Guests may book one of our delicious breakfasts served in the sunroom overlooking the garden or on the outside patio (weather permitting) at an additional charge ($20/pp - $15/child, +HST) according to the host’s availability. Nearby activities include lakes and beaches suitable for swimming, fishing, golfing, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, cycling, downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, ice skating, fine dining, and theatre. Snowshoes and toboggans are available in the wintertime, and folding camp chairs are provided for use on the beach in the summertime.
