"Gone Surfing"

“Gone Surfing” is about LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION – on the beach side of Beach Parade. Pretty much midway between the General Store and Ned Neale’s Lookout. Follow the sounds of the waves along your own private beach access track, over the dunes and onto spectacular Sandy Point Beach. The space The house itself receives lots of natural light. There is a split system for quick heating & cooling in the living & kitchen space. Also, a wood heater for cozy evenings in. There is a large flat screen TV & a small selection of books, puzzles & games. The kitchen is well equipped with a large fridge/freezer, microwave & oven. Adjacent to the kitchen is a dining table that sits 6. On the same level as the living area & kitchen, is the master bedroom with a queen size bed. A bathroom with a bath and shower. There is a separate toilet leading off the laundry. The laundry functions as the backdoor. Upstairs, there is a 2nd bedroom with a queen size bed AND a 3rd bedroom with 2 sets of bunks (4 single beds). There are split systems in both upstairs bedrooms. There is a 2nd toilet upstairs. All bedrooms have floor to ceiling cupboards. Outside, is an open carport with an outdoor table that seats 8. The carport is adjacent to a basic cold water outdoor shower & clothesline where you can wash the sand off yourself & hang up your towels after your beach activities. There is a large, unfenced, grassed backyard. A gas BBQ by the back door, which can be moved to any location as long as it’s popped back in it’s secure spot at the end of your stay. There is room for 2 or 3 cars out the front. We can easily modify the house to make it more suitable for small children. We can pop up a stair gate &get out the highchair that is packed away in the wardrobe of the master bedroom. Kids plastic plates/utensils are in the kitchen. There is a playground 100m down the road. The house is suitable for small dogs. There is a dog door leading out from the laundry into a small securely fenced area down the side of the house. We have lovely permanent neighbours just next door. Unfortunately, they have been impacted on 2 occasions by guests staying at our place. For example, 7 cars, 2 caravans and many more than 8 guests with accompanying noise. We hope that guests in the future will be more respectful of our neighbours and of our 8-person max rule. The house is way too squishy for larger numbers. Guest access You will have access to all areas of the house during your stay with the exception of the “Harry Potter” cupboard under the stairs & the small shed in outside.” Other things to note Sorry - NO WIFI. You will need to use your own data. Doonas & pillows are supplied for each bed. Guests MUST BRING THEIR OWN SHEETS, PILLOWCASES, DOONA COVERS & TOWELS. These items can be supplied for an additional fee of $100. Mobile phone & internet reception in Sandy Point can be poor when Sandy Point is busy. Each property in Sandy Point is on tank water & septic systems. The water from the taps at "Gone Surfing" is collected from the roof and stored in the large tank in the back yard. Bore water is not used.
