Happy Daze River Retreat

Beautiful 4 bedroom cottage is the perfect escape, with vaulted ceilings and two storey windows facing the scenic Crowe River, on the boundary of the Kawarthas. Spend your time kayaking and canoeing on the river or to the lake and enjoy the the sandbar, just 100m away! Bottom is sandy! Stargaze in the evenings, or gather around a bonfire and roast some s'mores. There is a wrap around deck with a new BBQ, a stocked kitchen, dishwasher, laundry, AC, & wifi! The space The cottage rooms are spacious (including the 4pc washrooms), with an open concept living area. The yard is fenced in (back and sides) with privacy trees on each neighbouring side. And the spacious yard allows for lounging and game playing, all in one! The morning sunrises are gorgeous. For your enjoyment there are two canoes, and a kayak for the solo paddler. Head down the river, or take an adventure up the Beaver Creek to get closer to nature. Go left from the dock for a short paddle or float towards the lake for great views, and check out the sandbar where you can spend the afternoon playing frisbee, lounging in chairs, and chatting with locals. Downtown Marmora is a 5 minute drive away, and has a grocery store, lcbo, beer store, park, tennis courts, ball field, and tourist centre. There is a farmers market at the park on Saturday mornings in the summer. There are also restaurants downtown and in the surrounding areas, if you aren't into cooking! If you are bringing a boat, the free boat launch is located right in town (north of the bridge) just a few minutes away. Please let me know, and I'll explain the directions which put you on the correct side of the downtown dam. Guest access You and the guests will have access to the whole cottage while you stay with us, yard, waterfront, and parking for a handful of cars. The driveway is steep, but it is paved, with a turn around spot. Guests will be able to use the all water toys available at the time. Currently including two canoes and a single kayak and a stand-up paddle board. There are also a variety of life jacket sizes available, from infant - adult. There is a new beautiful fire pit, with a metal rim, covered in rock, for extra safety. And firewood is provided as well. Other things to note Bed sheets are provided by guests (all queen). For our guests we provide pillows which have both protectors and cases on them, as well as duvets for the beds, with duvet covers. (There is an additional single trundle bed in the open loft, where we provide the sheets for, to avoid confusion, if there is a person desiring to sleep here instead of a bed)
