Beechwood Cottage was once an artist’s studio, and that creative spirit still lives in every detail—from hand-painted floors to global treasures collected over decades. It’s not just a place to stay—it’s a place to feel inspired. We’re local owners who’ve been part of this unique place for over 25 years. We still live nearby, care deeply about this community, and maintain the cottage with pride. After hosting guests for 15+ years, we’ve built a reputation for exceptional cleanliness and thoughtful hospitality. Inside, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen, cozy reading nooks, a rustic farm table perfect for shared meals, and two fireplaces (available October–April): one wood-burning with hand-cut sandstone, and one gas in the den. Outside, enjoy a private fenced yard, seasonal deck furniture and a gas grill (May–October). The three bedrooms offer views of nature in every season. Artistic touches are everywhere—from Mexican tiles brought back from Tijuana to seashells gathered on global travels. The master bath vanity? Faux-finished by hand to resemble burled maple. Beechwood Cottage isn’t a prefab rental—it’s a one-of-a-kind retreat that’s been lovingly curated over time. Other things to note We have had a number questions about our water - the cottage has municipal water; it is not well water (a bonus!) We also receive a lot of questions about pets. We are animal lovers and have a cat of our own. However, we do not allow pets at any time in our guest house. We have hand painted floors in most of the house and we don't want them to be subjected to animal feet or claws. We also like to be 100% confident for our guests with pet allergies that is always a pet-free environment.
