Welcome to Lakeside Living! Being only an hour and a half from Toronto makes this the perfect oasis that has all you need to relax and more! Located in Kawartha Lakes, specifically on Sturgeon Lake, a 3-minute drive from the popular town of Fenelon Falls (Jewel of the Kawarthas), gives easy access to great dining, local shops, outdoor activities, and of course...miles of open water. The ultimate stay for families, and couples looking to make memories lakeside! The space At Sturgeon Stay, we have gone all out to ensure that each and every guest not only enjoys the beautiful cottage during their stay but also the amenities that come along with it! The ultimate stay includes: Wifi, Smart TVS, clean bedding for all rooms, fresh towels, a high chair, board games, a large dock, a dock ladder, 2 kayaks, 2 stand-up paddle boards, a canoe, a paddle boat AND a Cedar Barrel Hot Tub! The cottage offers a bright, open-airy feeling when you first enter, as the doors and windows provide lots of natural light, where you will find views of the surrounding properties and, of course, the lake! The cottage has one kitchen located on the main level, with all the appliances needed to make the perfect meal for you and your guests- plates, cups, a variety of utensils, a Nespresso coffee machine (with some tasty pods) and more are provided compliments of the host! The living and elevated dining areas are all a part of the open-concept design the cottage has to offer- a truly cozy setting! The living area has a gas fireplace, and Smart TV, and on the other hand, a walkout to a spacious 2-tier deck, where you will find the BBQ, outdoor dining space and of course, a place to sit back, relax and lounge on a hot summer day. The bedrooms are what we like to call spacious and functional, but the best part is that 3/5 bedrooms are located on the main floor- accessible for all guests. As you make your way upstairs, you will find the other 2/5 bedrooms, as well as the open living/loft space where you will find the day bed and some quality books for a good read. The loft/living area has a second walk-out to a deck, the highest elevation of the property, with an awesome lake view and a comfortable spot to enjoy your morning coffee. As you venture to the basement, you will find a nice pad to watch your favourite movie on the Smart TV and surround sound system, or challenge another guest to a friendly game of foosball- the choice is yours. Our large couch also doubles as a pull-out bed for extra sleeping space. Need a breather? No problem, as the basement offers a walk-out to the backyard, only a hop, skip and jump to the large backyard, cedar barrel hot tub and dock. The dock is the perfect place to relax, whether you choose to suntan, fish, have a cold drink on one of the Muskoka chairs, jump into the lake or onto one of the many water activities provided by the host! There is also an outdoor fire pit that can be used by guests at their own discretion. I am happy to host all 13, but keep in mind it will be a little cozier! Kindly remember that our cottage runs on septic. Please avoid flushing non-flushable items down the toilet (disinfecting wipes, paper towels, latex gloves, etc.)
