Welcome to "雪月花 Setsugekka"! 雪月花 means "Snow Moon and Flower" in Japanese. We are located in Nikko City, Tochigi, with an Inhouse-Onsen-spa, and an open-air bath. Limited to one group per stay (max 9 ppl), it is conveniently located for sight seeing ; a 7-mins ride from Nikko Sta., and a 5-mins ride to Toshogu Shrine. Located in a quiet forest, you can enjoy BBQ and Tent-sauna. Onsen and Karaoke is available24 hrs! Pickup and drop-off service is available. A pet hotel is in a walking distance. The space 【Bed rooms】 There are 2 traditional Japanese rooms. 1. Tatami-mat room (capacity 4 people, Japanese single futon x 4) with a toilet, a shower room and a mini refrigerator. 2. Tatami-mat room with Western room (capacity 5 people, Japanese single futon x3, single bed x2) with a toilet, a shower room and a mini-refrigerator 【Spa】 The indoor and outdoor baths are artificial hot springs that use natural ore (Komeiseki) mined from mines in Okayama Prefecture. It is a moist, tasteless and odorless hot water that elutes 11 kinds of water-soluble minerals abundantly and has effects such as neuralgia, rheumatism, stiff shoulders, low back pain, hemorrhoids, poor circulation, and recovery from fatigue. One of major hotel chains in Japan also has applied this onsen-spa. 【Living and dining room】 It is a dining room with a traditional Japanese interior with a hearth. It is also ideal as a relaxing space after bathing. A water server and a coffee machine is available. We also have Karaoke and some party games here. Since we are located in the forest, you can enjoy yourselves to your heart's content without worrying about the surroundings. * For safety reasons, the hearth is a decoration and cannot be used. 【BBQ】 Total ¥5,000 (reservations must be made by the day before arrival) Please bring only ingredients and seasonings. 【Bonfire】 4,000JPY in total. Reservations are required by one day before your arrival date. Not available in bad weather. ※BBQ and bonfire : set discount of 8,000JPY in total. 【Tent sauna】 10,000 JPY for up to 4 people. From the 5th person onwards, 2,500 JPY will be added per person. (Reservations must be made at least 2 days prior to arrival) Please bring clothes (swimwear, etc.) and some drinking water. There is also a small pool. Not available in bad weather. Those having any concerns about your health are not allowed. If interested, please let us know. ▪ There is a long staircase in the facility. ▪ This is NOT a barrier-free house. ▪ It is relatively a cold region. Please dress warmly especially in winter. ▪ It is about a 10 minutes ride to the nearest supermarket and convenience store, so please purchase your food and drinks before coming to the house. Also, most shops and restaurants in the city are closed at night. Please bring enough food, snacks and drinks. ▪ There is no restaurants in a walking distance. ▪ Because it is located in the forest, your cellphones may have a bad connection and may not be able to make phone calls. However, you can call with LINE app as Wi-Fi is available. ▪ Since located in the forest, you might encounter some wild animals and insects. Children only for 120 cm size) 【Facility】 Refrigerator, microwave oven, gas stove, dishwasher, cooking utensils, dishes, washing machine, dryer, TV, air conditioner, humidifier etc. 【BBQ】 ▪ This is an optional, and an extra fee of 4,000 yen total applies.(for 3 hours use, including charcoal) ▪ Reservations are required by one day before check-in. Please be noted that, depending on the situation, we may not be able to meet your request. ▪ Cooking utensils and tableware are provided. ▪ Please bring your own ingredients and seasonings (Only oil, salt, peppers, and soy-sauce are prepared). ▪ Since there are wild animals in the forest, please clean up after BBQ and please do not leave trash outside. We will prepare a garbage bag for you. Also, do not feed wild animals. ▪Please keep an eye on your children. ▪Please be fully careful when using fire. ▪ Please note that we are not responsible for any injuries or troubles that may occur during BBQ. 【Bonfire】 ▪Fee 3,000 yen (one bundle of firewood and marshmallows included) ▪You can enjoy about 1 hour with 1 bundle of firewood. If you wish to add firewood, we will charge 1,000 yen per bundle. ▪In the case of a set with BBQ, the price will be discounted and the total will be 6,000 yen. ▪Not available in bad weather. 【Tent Sauna】 ▪ This is an optional, and an extra fee of 8,000 yen applies up to 4 people( 2 hours of use). In case of 5 or more than 5 people, 2,000 yen each. ▪ Reservations are required by two days before check-in. Please be noted that, depending on the situation, we may not be able to meet your request. ▪ You will be charged even if you cannot start on time. Please come earlier than the start time. ▪ Please enjoy it during the day time ( Night time is not available for security reasons) ▪ Please bring your swim suit and lots of drinks (water recommended) ▪ Enjoy leil inside the tent. ▪ Our tent can accommodate up to 4 people at one time. ▪ We will set up the tent sauna for you. ▪ You can ware swimming wear or a T-shirts etc., but please refrain from being naked. ▪ Children has to be accompanied by adults ; It is prohibited for children to use without adults. ▪ Since the temperature inside the tent gets high, please drink as much water as possible not to have dehydration. ▪ Please pay a full attention to the use of a high temperature stove ; there is a risk of burns. ▪It cannot be used in bad weather or strong winds for safety reasons. We will refund you if the activities get canceled before service. Once service starts, refund cannot be made. ▪ Please note that we are not responsible for any injuries or troubles that may occur during use. You can enjoy Karaoke 24 hours! 【Pet hotel】 ▪ Though pets are prohibited here, we can introdule you a pet hotel in walking distance of 30 seconds from this place (dogs only). ▪ If interested, please contact us beforehand. They might be out of service depending on the situation. 【For those staying for two or more nights in a row】 For security reasons (including COVID19 concerns), we refrain from entering guest rooms, and there is no room cleaning during your stay. When cleaning is required, please let us know. Also, in consideration of the environment, we are trying to reduce the number of washings as much as possible. For that reason, we refrain from changing sheets during your stay. Thank you for your understanding. 【Onsen-spa/ general information】 Komeiseki Kirifuri Onsen (artificial onsen) [Efficacy] Neuralgia, rheumatism, stiff shoulders, low back pain, hemorrhoids, poor circulation, recovery from fatigue, etc. * The outside bath is not onsen. * It is open 24 hours! 【Onsen-spa / rules】 ▪ Hot water in the bathtub is shared with others. ▪ You cannot drain hot water by yourself. ▪ To keep the hot water clean, please DO NOT wash your body in the hot water in the bathtub. ▪ Urine in the water is strictly prohibited ▪ You can enjoy onsen naked or with a bathing suite. ▪ There are 4 showers. Also, shampoo, conditioner, body soap and bathing amenities are provided. ▪ After use, please cover the bathtub with a heat insulating sheet (the silver side is on the bottom) to keep the water temperature. ▪ You can take a bath anytime during your stay. ▪ Please be noted that there are no extra towels provided. ▪ If you plan to take a bath again, please take your towels back to your rooms. (If not, please put the used towels in the box in the dressing room). ▪ It will be closed during cleaning. 【TRASH】 Japan is very strict about the trash separation and very specific witht rash take-out days. Please SEPARATE your trash into - COMBUSTIBLES - INCOMBUSTIBLES - PET BOTTLES - CANS and BOTTLES As our cleaners will take of the trash after your check out, KEEP YOUR TRASH INSIDE THE HOUSE. Please DO NOT leave your trash outside to avoid wild animals from coming 【House Rules】 Please follow the rules below to avoid any troubles or additional charges. ▪ Smoking is prohibited inside the house.(Ashtrays are provided outside) ▪ Please refrain from bringing pets. ▪ Only staying-guests are allowed to come inside the house and use its facility. ▪ It is strictly prohibited to bring or use drugs here. ▪ Please lock the front door all the time during your stay. ▪ We don't have safes. It is advisable to lock the guest rooms during your stay.
