WabiSabi Ski Chalet Rusutsu - 10 beds, wild powder

Beautiful newly renovated ski chalet in the hills of Rusutsu. Near Rusutsu and Niseko ski resorts. Designed for large groups to enjoy the fourteen meters of annual snowfall. Lake Toya is just 15 minutes away. Six bedrooms, two bathrooms, large kitchen, two living rooms (upstairs and down), fine teak-wood furniture from Bali, beautiful scenery, lots of parking and nature to explore. Under ten minutes to INCREDIBLE dry champagne powder at Rusutsu Resort or 35 minutes to Niseko. The space Large newly renovated house in beautiful hills just a few minutes outside of Rusutsu Town. Rusutsu Resort gets about fourteen meters of fresh snow every year. It is some of the most incredible powder you will find anywhere in the world. Officially the house sleeps twelve but there is a lot of space and there will be extra bunks / sleeping spaces (especially in the kids room). Sleeping arrangements: Two bedrooms downstairs (queen beds) Three bedrooms upstairs (queen beds) One bedroom upstairs (two single beds) TV room upstairs (couches easily convert to three single beds - great kids room) So six full bedrooms and a seventh if you use the upstairs TV room for three more beds. You are eight minutes (6.9km) to the main resort at Rusutsu Resort or about ten minutes to drive directly to East Mountain / Mount Isola (also part of the resort, higher peaks, more powder, driving directly saves a slow gondola ride over from the main resort and insures you get first tracks). Your are six minutes (5km) to the center of town where you find a little grocery store, a post office, a super cute little mom n pop Japanese restaurant / cafe and the 'King of Night' karaoke bar. There are a few more great restaurants at the resort (be sure to check out Pirateman and Rodeo Drive). Just four minutes away (3.5km) is the Rusutsu Town Onsen (the quaint local onsen). It costs just $2 and is an amazing experience. Men and women bathe separately. There is a much larger, fancy onsen in the resort (two actually, one in main resort and one in the west tower with a large outdoor hot tub area - don't miss it). You are 39 minutes (32 km) to Niseko Resort or Kutchan town where you will find typical big box grocery stores like MaxValu (groceries) and Homac (hardware, homewares etc). There are lots of shops and restaurants in Kutchan and Niseko. You are 17 minutes / 12 km away from Lake Toya which is beautiful. It is worth the drive to the far side of the lake (half an hour) to check out Zekkei No Yuyado Onsen which has an incredible outdoor onsen on the ninth floor of the hotel.
