Nearby, Strada Nuova crosses the entire Cannaregio district from the station to almost Rialto. This is one of the most lively areas of Venice with its typical Osterias, market and shops of all kinds. A 5-minute walk to the Ponte delle Guglie where the vaporetti depart for the islands of the lagoon and the Alilaguna service to the airport.
