Welcome to our stunning 2 acre farm next to the Ojai Valley Inn! Our 3700 sq ft home is large & comfortable. Relax in a hammock under our hundred year old oaks. Meet our friendly wild mustangs, mini-horses, goats & chickens. Cook feasts in the gourmet kitchen, and gather round the huge farm table in front of the kitchen fireplace. At night, cozy up outside at the large fire pit, in the hot tub, or inside around the big screen TV. We can't wait to help you create unforgettable memories in Ojai! The space This home is located at Amber Lane Farms in one of Ojai's most exclusive neighborhoods. We are right across the street from Ojai's 5 star-resort, The Ojai Valley Inn. While guests at the Inn pay $900+ per night for one room, with our rental you will enjoy a large tri-level 3,700 sq ft home with gourmet kitchen, multiple fireplaces, game room, and private library with panoramic views on two acres of gardens, barn, horse corrals, fire pits, hammocks under hundred year old oak trees as well as outdoor dining and living areas with pizza oven and grills. All this for your family for the price of ONE room at the Inn! With our rental, you get all the conveniences of a beautiful home and garden, yet you are only steps away from the Inn's elegant restaurants, golf course, tennis courts, world-renowned spa, with two swimming pools! As a part of your stay we would be happy to coordinate activities reservations and spa day passes for you to enjoy the Inn during your visit with us! ABOUT THE HOUSE: When you first enter the home you are greeted by a three level entry space, each level with unique features. ENTRY LEVEL: • Fireplace • Baby grand piano • Spiral staircase to the third-level octagonal wood-paneled library + game room. • Octagon living room with two fold-out couches for great play + napping space with windows looking out onto the garden. • One half bath GOURMET KITCHEN : • Cozy brick fireplace • Picture windows looking out onto the garden and the mountains • Huge live-edge wood dining table that seats 10 people • Vintage styled ArkRocket Jukebox • Vinyl record bar to spin some tunes while you cook or sit in front of the fireplace. • New Samsung appliances, including range, dishwasher and deluxe refrigerator. • Pantry stocked with all the staples you will need to make large family meals. • Fully stocked with cookware, plates, glasses, mugs, all eating and cooking utensils • Nespresso machine with pods • Keurig machine with pods • Ceramic filters for pour over coffee. • Ground and bean coffee with coffee grinders (burr or electric) • Nespresso electric milk frother. • Tea kettle and a wide assortment of loose, and bagged caffeinated and herbal teas. • Movie theater style popcorn machine, stocked with organic popcorn with various flavors shakers and toppings. THE AMBER LANE FARMS EXPERIENCE: Our guests enjoy getting to know our friendly animals during their stay! We have a flock of miniature-sized heritage chickens, each with their own unique personalities who enjoy being held. There is also a mini-pig named Rosie who will come for treats, a lion’s head bunny named Sweetpea who thinks she is a chicken, and a turkey name Dinah. We also have a handful of dwarf goats of whom, S’mores and Pippa are the girls who most like to get scratches and hugs. Our two wild mustangs, Cinnamon and Gypsy enjoy giving kisses for oatmeal cookies, and our mini-horses, Dolce, Marmalade and Biscuit can be brushed and also like their cookies. We conduct ongoing workshops for adults and children on gardening and farm animals. We encourage you to join a class if one is happening during your stay, or we can also put something custom together for you and your family or group! From late April-November our 1 acre 100% organic kitchen garden is under cultivation. Guests are invited to wander through and enjoy it as part of their rental. Farm boxes of seasonally available crops are available for you to cook with here or take home with you! We are proud to say that we are one of the few FULLY PERMITTED short term stay properties in Ojai, carrying a valid Ventura County license and Homeshare permit. The house has an owner occupied bedroom on the third floor which has a separate exterior entrance/exit. There is no cross-over with the rest of the home, so guests have a PRIVATE experience in the house.
