Our castle is located in the Schwalm-Nette Nature Park, 40 km from Düsseldorf and 15 km from Mönchengladbach. Enjoy the tranquility of nature and spend unforgettable days in a castle from 1644. Your tower room combines historical elements and modern living comfort. Breakfast can be booked on site on request and is served in the room. Price per person €16.00 The room includes freshly obtained beds, towels, free coffee, tea and free parking. The space The tower room has walls over 4 m high, plastered with clay. It is the lowest room in the defense tower with walls up to 1.80 m thick. Old embrasures and small windows are reminiscent of medieval times. Modern underfloor heating and the special climate of the clay plaster create a pleasant atmosphere. The floor in industrial style and the modern bathroom, where you can look through small embrasures over the castle pond while brushing your teeth, make the room unique. The room has its own small private terrace. Guest access You can use the castle courtyard. During your stay I am at your disposal. Other things to note Modern meets medieval. Our castle from 1644 does not have shutters. The windows cannot be darkened. We heat exclusively with wood from our own forest. A solar system supports the heating and generates hot water. Through our PV systems with storage, we cover 80% of our electricity needs. Through active forestry, we store about 600 tons of CO2 every year. We are particularly proud of our restored mill wheel, with which we generate 8000 kW of electricity every year. ATTENTION: ⚠️ You are staying in a natural reserve!
