Your own private spa in a country neighborhood surrounded by organic fruit, veg and berries. Featuring two saunas, a spring-fed, chemical-free 103 degree cedar hot tub, cold plunge, outdoor shower, tea & yoga room, 2 dedicated workspaces, fast wifi, 2 TV’s & extensive VHS collection. Ashiatsu massage and organic facials bookable by request. A perfect getaway in the heart of the Gorge, just 30 minutes from PDX. This gated property has a view of Multnomah Falls and the Columbia River upstairs. The space The Gorge Onsen is located just off the Columbia River in a small neighborhood in the Columbia River Gorge. At the heart of our space are wellness facilities including a tea room, yogaroom/treatment room with a two person infarred sauna. Mats bolster, straps and blocks are provided for guests to use. Just outside is a spring fed, chemical-free deep cedar barrel hot tub set to 103F and an adjacent claw foot cold plunge. Steps away is an outdoor shower and group wood fired sauna house. The yard features a menagerie of edible plants- fruit trees, blueberry bushes, grape vines and a large organic garden during summer months. The acre lot features multiple hang zones with a solarium tea room, yoga room, 2 fire pits and hammock zones. The inside is clean and welcoming with lots of natural light and quality appliances. Between a stand of fir trees and the Columbia River are train tracks. Trains run approximately every hour and are faintly audible inside the house. The Columbia River and Multnomah falls are visible throughout the year from the eastern upstairs bedroom on clear days and in the cooler months (late November-April) from the kitchen and kitchen nook on the main floor There are friendly neighbors to the East who are mostly blocked from sight by a wood fence. Road and all other sides are private. Guest access The entire house is accessible to guest except for the basement which is reserved for retreats. Please observe labels on doors. There's a black framed gate at the back of the property and a bridge. This is under construction and not open to guests at this time. Other things to note Refer to signs throughout property. For commercial photo shoots please contact us. No parties or loud music. This is a peaceful space. No pets or smoking inside the home or you'll be charged an extra fee of $200 Please obey local burn bans during high-risk fire seasons. There is a Trager Grill on the deck, if guests decide to use it we ask they clean the grill after use or else incur a $30 fee Please remove shoes/sandals before stepping on sauna wood bench or floor. The wood stains easily. No glass near spa facilities (saunas, hot tub, cold plunge, or outdoor shower)
