The Antique Mansion is close to restaurants and dining, nightlife, family-friendly activities, recreation and public transportation. You’ll love the high ceilings, tall windows, views of the property, fireplace in winter and A/C in summer. The accommodations are good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families and groups of friends. There is a 1% City tax not handled by Airbnb, payable upon arrival. The space Light and airy suite with pastel wallpaper. Queen bed in main room and two twin beds in sitting room with desk and closet. Updated bathroom in between rooms has tiled shower. Guest access Park right in front of the house in one of the spots near path to front door. Leave room for vehicles to pass behind you on the circular driveway. Ground floor Living Room, Library, porch and parklike grounds are accessible to guests for quiet enjoyment and used by owner too. Reception area of Library has coffee maker and shared refrigerator. During your stay I am on the property much of the time but, like anyone, cannot guarantee 24/7. I suggest texting with your questions and needs which can then be addressed quickly whether I am in the house or not. We are on a corner, opposite the Rutland Country Club (golf course and restaurant), just 1/2 mile off Route 7 and 1.4 miles to downtown Rutland. Our two cats are very friendly but not permitted in the guest rooms or public rooms.
