This unique and spacious ground floor (no stairs) 2 bedroom flat has lots of character and charm. Formerly a bakery, Panama hat shop, and art gallery, this flat has a lot of history. As a part of a classic Cuenca patrimonial house, your hosts occupy the top two floors and available to provide advice about this wonderful city. This location is ideal to explore El Centro and beyond on foot. With a private entrance, spacious interior, and charming details, this is one-of-a-kind find. The space The flat is on the ground floor and has exactly one step from the front "garage" to the rest of the space. Once inside the flat proper, you'll find a workspace and high speed wifi, dining room, large living room and two bedrooms. There is also a full bathroom with a spacious shower that requires no steps to get in, a reading/breakfast nook, and a kitchen. Guest access We live on the premises and will meet you with the keys and meet you to retrieve the keys when you leave. There will be a $50 fee for unreturned keys (as I have the locks changed when they are not returned for your safety and ours). Other things to note While we absolutely welcome well-behaved pets, they are at no time to be left in the apartment alone. We welcome all feedback as we work to improve the space and your experience. This is not your typical tiny box apartment. It's very spacious, clean, comfortable and we will be constantly adding to the comfort and amenities and your questions, input, suggestions and feedback will be very welcomed. Note: Like many historic houses in El Centro, there is not a calefón in the kitchen which means there is not hot tap water. I provide a kettle for washing dishes.
