Oakleigh Cottage - walk to BVRT and Blackbutt pub

Make yourself right at home in this newly renovated highset Queenslander. With 3 bedrooms and a sleep-out area available for guests, this cottage can accommodate up to 7 and is perfect for families or groups. There’s reverse cycle a/c to the main living area and the two queen-sized bedrooms. The place is also equipped with a smart tv and broadband internet, as well as a selection of dvds, games, puzzles and books. Access is via stairs or a wheelchair-friendly ramp. The space Oakleigh Cottage is one of the earliest houses in Blackbutt. It was the MacLeod family home for 60 years, and where Chris and Carmel raised their 3 sons. Carmel was a warm and generous person, who made everyone feel welcome. After her passing, Chris went to live with family and the place was renovated and opened to guests. The MacLeods invite you to relax and enjoy the spirit of Carmel’s country hospitality (and her various knick knacks and antique rose china). You will have the house to yourselves for the duration of your stay. There is reverse cycle aircon in the main living area and two bedrooms. Please note however that the sleep-out is on the western side of the house and can get hot on sunny summer afternoons. Portable fans are provided. Guest access Please note that the sheds at the back of the property are staff access only. On rare occasions, you may see cleaners access the sheds during your stay, but they won’t enter the house unless previously arranged with you. Other things to note Corporate Stays – Mandatory Guest Details For bookings made by companies on behalf of employees, all guests staying at the property must be formally added to the reservation. We are unable to provide information or access to individuals not listed as guests. Or For each guest please provide the following details: full name, phone number. This ensures seamless communication and allows us to promptly assist guests with any matters related to their stay. Additional Cleaning Services For extended stays, additional cleaning can be arranged. Please inform us at the time of booking if you would like weekly or fortnightly cleaning, which is available at an additional cost. Cyclists: There’s a garden hose in case you need to wash dusty bikes. There is also a power outlet for charging e-bikes. You are welcome to wheel bikes up the ramp to store securely in the house (provided the bikes are clean) or you can use the undercover area (under the house) for storing bikes.
