Just 3.5 miles from the town of Paonia means you're oh-so-close yet so far away from it all. Stillness, beauty, and relaxation. If you're looking for a cozy little reconnect with nature and a disconnect from the rat-race, you've found it. The Yucca Cabin is a perfect Paonia home base for exploring the North Fork Valley. The space This is not a place to come and party. We welcome guests who are seeking relaxation, rejuvenation, and connection with the natural world. And those who carry respect for nature and their surroundings. While it pains us to say, we are not currently allowing pets. PLEASE DO NOT FORGET to read written driving instructions provided in our intro message to you and in the check-in instructions. Mapping apps will just take you directly to our main house which is not the correct turn. The cabin is one of two on the property (search Coyote Cabin for other listing) and you'll have your own private parking right in front of cabin. The cabin comfortably sleeps four, with one big main bedroom that has two full-sized beds. There is also a small loft with a twin-sized bed if you need the extra space. PLEASE NOTE: The loft is accessed by a built in (completely vertical) ladder and is a very compact space that could only sleep one. It would be best suited for a smaller human. Kids seem to love it! The space has all the essentials you'll need: Wifi, AC for warmer months, gas fireplace for winter, 4-burner gas grill on deck, full bathroom with shower, towels and bedding, shampoo/conditioner, 2-burner electric range, mini fridge, basic kitchen and cooking utensils, kettle, french press, pour over (and coffee and tea), sink, comfy seating area inside and out, four person dining table. Things the space DOES NOT have that you might consider: washer/dryer, freezer, microwave, oven, dishwasher, toaster. Please do ALL smoking outside and please do not, under any circumstances, throw your cigarette butts on the ground! Other things to note PLEASE READ THIS! While it has been a mild winter so far, 4WD is highly recommended in order to reach the cabins if we do get snow and ice. You will struggle to get up Minnesota Creek Rd or our driveway without 4WD in the event of a snowstorm. We HIGHLY recommend that you SCREENSHOT directions and DOWNLOAD area map before reaching Paonia. Cell service is VERY spotty. The water source in the cabins is city water. A quick note: We have two dogs on the property, one of which is slightly protective. It is very unlikely you will see our pups during your visit but if they happen to wander up towards your cabin, please just ignore them and do not engage. While he is the sweetest boy, for liability reasons, we need to say “Beware of Dog”.
