Slate & Daffodil is a private 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom apartment in a quiet residential neighbourhood, within walking distance of the local bus route, grocery store and a short bus, car or bike ride to the City of Hamilton for shopping and art galleries. The apartment provides all the necessary amenities for a home away from home. See you soon! ~Keisha The space The unit features an open plan kitchen/living room space, stocked with the usual amenities: cutlery, dishes and cookware, toaster & toaster oven, microwave, stove, oven and fridge. A washer & dryer is available in the kitchen closet and there is also a dinette and a full pull-out sofa bed. You will find Wi-Fi, a landline phone, two smart TVs will allow you to sign into your Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and YouTube accounts on the TV. The bathroom consists of a shower/bathtub combo, vanity, sink and toilet. Bathroom and Bedroom linens are available in the hall closet. A starter supply of paper products (paper towel/toilet paper) and some cleaning products are available until guests are able to purchase their necessary supplies for the self-catering unit. A weekly or monthly cleaning service can be added for a fee upon request. In the summer time, there are outdoor lounge chairs for relaxing in the sun. NOTE: We are minutes away from the National Stadium which hosts major sporting events & concerts - Rugby, Swimming, Track & Field, Soccer and Hockey. There are two neighbourhood take away restaurants: Mr. Chicken and Pink’s Drive-Through for fast food options within 5 minutes walking distance. It is a 7-minute drive to the city centre of Hamilton. We are close walking proximity from the Squash Club, the OceanView Golf Course and the Vesey Street Equestrian Centre, and about 7-minutes drive to the WER Joell Tennis Stadium. Guest access There is a private road leading to the unit's dedicated driveway. Please use this access at all times. The main house driveway, walking path gate, and lawn on the right side are private. There is self check-in with instructions provided to access the apartment. Guests come and go as they please. I give my guests their space, but I am available when needed. Other things to note I have a medium sized Yorkie/Shitzu & something cross bred, who is mostly inside when he isn't outdoors enjoying the sun. The dog remains in the yard of the main house. For transportation, I can recommend a couple of taxi services for airport transfers, and rental companies for mini electric cars and scooter/mopeds, if you wish. The apartment driveway is a safe place to park your rental scooters or mini electric cars, or a private vehicle from on-island residents who may wish to visit you. There are beach towels available for use for a day out at Bermuda's gorgeous beaches.
