Relaxing rural retreat in the Tararua foothills

This peaceful rural retreat centre, Samadhi Retreat, nestled in the foothills of the Tararua Ranges, is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Surrounded by nature, forest and birdsong, enjoy the sense of peace and wellbeing. Bushwalks wind up the hill and you will be accompanied by piwakawaka and the odd fairy by the stream. The property features a warm and comfortable house, veggie gardens, a bountiful orchard, a serene lotus pond, and a magical yurt beyond (may be occupied separately). The space The house has three bedrooms with 12 single beds. The first bedroom has two singles and one bunk. The second bedroom has two bunks and the third has four singles (two of which can make a double). All the bunk beds are very comfortable. There is a large open plan living area with a dining space opening on to a balcony where there is outdoor seating available on a deck overlooking the grounds. There is a modern kitchen and two bathrooms including two toilets, two showers and one bath. An outdoor patio features a table and chairs. The 4 hectare grounds feature two orchard areas, two ponds, two streams, hills and forest glades and pathways, plus organic vege gardens. Guest access Guest can access the main house as well as walk through the grounds and bushwalks but are not allowed to go into the yurt in the far field without permission as it may be occupied. Neighbouring properties are also out of bounds so stick within the gates. Other things to note This property is used as a retreat centre for yoga and meditation retreats.
