Immerse yourself in our forest and serene pond. Quiet 40-acre commune consists of two tiny house cabins + barn on private pond. Book one of the simple yet elegant cabins/barn for more guests. Modern, off-grid, solar-powered retreat. Two solid glass walls to bring you closer to nature while staying in our simple yet elegant tiny house with all comforts of home. 5 min walk to shared fire pits, kayaks, pond & seasonal picnic shelter. AWD SUV or truck required. Off-grid, so no A/C. Pet fee $150. Our tiny house features total immersion in our forest with two glass walls; its location and views--which face privately-owned land--were chosen to assure total privacy. The beautiful features inside offer a perfect view regardless of where you look. A pellet stove provides heat when needed. WiFi is available, but our satellite internet can be slow at times - fine for surfing/email, while streaming sometimes works well and sometimes not. Cell reception is very limited. Our nearby homestead is a work-in-progress and construction is ongoing, but we halt any loud activities when guests are staying with us. A brief walk to the point on our pond is perfect for nature-watching, and a small screen room tent is set up seasonally for your bug-free enjoyment. Access and Getting Around (PLEASE READ before booking): Our gated, winding, two mile gravel/dirt camp road takes you on a journey from civilization to seclusion. We recommend driving it with care and a vehicle with high ground clearance such as a crossover, SUV, or truck. AWD or 4x4 and studded tires are required as there are steep sections of road and we do not spread sand/salt. Entire cabin is yours to enjoy! The pond, fire pits, kayaks, and picnic shelter are shared between guests staying on the property. The pellet stove will be running when you arrive if it is fall/winter, and pellets will be provided for your comfort. The sister cabin and barn can be booked separately to add additional guests to your party. Note that the outdoor amenities like the fire pits, kayak, etc. are shared. Kayaks are available seasonally from May 1st thru October 31st. The cabins themselves are completely private.
