Downstairs lakefront unit with large private dock on Buggs Island Lake near Clarksville, VA. Two bedrooms plus sofa bed sleeping 6 people with full kitchen and large deck overlooking a nice sandy beach just off main lake with great fishing! Unit is close to boat launches and Clarksville VA. Unit is perfect place to enjoy the largest lake in Virginia, exploring nearby parks, a plantation, the quaint town of Clarksville, or nearby breweries/wineries. The main bedroom has a queen bed and next to that bedroom is a bedroom with 2 twin beds. The 4th bed is a queen sofa bed in the living room. The unit has been completely remodeled inside and out. The bathroom has a tub /shower combination. There are dishes, kitchen utensils, pots and pans and seating for 6 people. Unit has refrigerator with freezer, electric stove and microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. The first pot is on us! There is a new 42" TV with 30 off the air channels. There is a fishing cleaning station and a 4 burner propane BBQ grill for grilling those fresh caught fish. In the evening enjoy 'Smores around the fire pit with wood a plenty. The outside facilities are shared with the unit upstairs. Please be courteous with your neighbor! There is no WIFI in the unit. The beach area is on U S Army Corp of Engineer property as is all lakefront property on the lake below the 320' level. However the dock and walkway are private property belonging to the unit. Only registered guests can use the dock! The lake is maintained at the 300' level +/- 5'. The red marks on the trees denote the 320' level. The Clarksville Chamber of Commerce is located downtown at 2nd street Virginia Ave. and has maps and things to do in the area. The town has a no charge town dock for public use at 2nd street, across street from the COC. Occoneeche state park (US 58 east) is 2 miles away and has a water park for the use as well as a boat launch ramp and boat rentals and a weekend fuel dock. The unit parking area is gravel and is on a grade. Please Park parallel to the unit for ease of access. Please contact owner in advance if you have more than 2 vehicles or boat trailer. Kayaks 12' & 14' singles and a 16' double are available for rental from owner at the unit. Private dock for fishing or boat tie up is located on site at no additional cost! Prestwould Plantation is a historic house near Clarksville, Virginia less than a 1/2 mile from unit. It is the most intact and best documented plantation surviving in Southside Virginia. One of the highlights of the neighborhood is the neighbors yellow lab! If he sees you on the sandy beach, he will bring a stick for you to throw in the water. He will retrieve the stick and do this as long as you throw the stick. Great for kids! Bring your boat, as there is a private dock included for the unit. The nearest boat launch is less than 1 mile away at the Bluestone boat ramp or at Occoneechee State Park less than 3 miles away. The state park has a water park for your use. The town of Clarksville is less than 4 miles away with fast food, restaurants, groceries, and shopping. The town of Clarksville has free boat docks for use when visiting town. Fishing tournaments are held monthly. Check Chamber of Commerce at 2nd street for local events. The beach is not private and can be used by anybody on the lake as does all lakefront property on the lake up to the red lines on the trees (320'). However, the dock is privately owned and is exclusively for the guests of units. There is a 16' Tandem (2 man) kayak for rent on-site at $60/day-$110/2 day-$150/3 day-$245/week as well as 2 single person (12' & 14') kayaks renting each at $40/day-$75/2 day-$90/3 day-$175/week.
