Spectacular Mountain Retreat

Cottage is the guest house of our country home. Situated on a mountain with spectacular views of the Blue Ridge and access to many hiking trails; biking; fishing and swimming in private pond only steps from the door. Cottage is located within easy driving distance of multiple wineries, Sky Line Drive and Shenandoah National Park; Montpelier; and restaurants and shops. We can accommodate no more than one dog, with prior permission. In April 2023, we again upgraded our internet (see below). The space The cottage started its life as a master craftsman workshop. It was converted to a guest cottage by the owners a few years ago. The cottage is at ground level without any steps or stairs. Above the cottage there is a one-bedroom apartment with a separate and independent entrance in the back. The tenant upstairs assists in maintaining the property. Porches in front and back provide panoramic views of the mountains, the pond and pasture. Cabin is situated on 60 acres at the end of a state road. Beautiful scenery and attractions every season in the year including wintertime. Guest access The final state road (1.1 miles long and gravel ) leads to our driveway. Parking is in front and abundant. Other things to note Inside the garage adjacent to the cabin you will find all kind of implements that you might find useful including a trash can. Entrance to the garage is through the side door to the right of the front door as you face the cabin. Wood is provided for the fire pit. A grill (Weber) and charcoal is provided for your use. Roku TV has DVD player but does not have cable channels. Streaming is available for Netflix, Prime, etc. We subscribe to premium internet service which is currently the best in our area, with unlimited data and high speed. That said, like all rural services, it can be subject to interruption due to severe weather conditions. We will appreciate it if you would remove the sheets from the beds and place them on top of the washer machine. Please take the trash bags to the garage and place them inside the large trash can.
