Escape for a week or a weekend to world famous Caddo Lake. Surrounded by the largest cypress forest in the world and designated as a wetland of international significance, our newest property will accommodate a couple or a family of four with ease and comfort. The Escape includes full kitchen, wi-fi , king bed and two loft bedrooms and water access across the street. If escaping to one of Texas last remaining hidden wilderness treasures sounds exciting, we invite you to explore and stay with us. The Escape has one bedroom with a king size bed along with two lofts on either side of property which require guests to climb up a ladder to access either a full size bed on one side or a twin bed on the other sid. There is one full bathroom, full kitchen with most kitchen appliances, front and back porches with a limited lake view on one side and the woods from the back porch with charcoal grill. Wi-fi and tv's are located in the living room area and master bedroom and there is also a sleeper sofa in the living rooms area. You may access the entire inside and outside of the escape. The wooded area behind the Escape is also an area that you can explore with your friends and family as it is public land. If you need assistance or info, please check the guest book in the house. We are right across the street from Jackson Arm portion of Caddo Lake. Less than a mile from the boat launch and our backyard is over 700 acres of part of the 9,000 acre internationally designated wetlands of international significance filled with wildlife; birds and vegetation some of which is only found in Caddo Lake area. Whether it’s big foot or the ivory billed woodpecker or just seeing a bald eagle, you can find so much to do at Caddo Lake. Caddo Lake and Uncertain are easy to maneuver around. You can even bring your bikes and ride around the small community. Make sure and pack most of your groceries before you arrive but there is a Family Dollar within 10 minutes of the escape for some minor things you might have left or ran out of. You will be asked to provide this pet fee through Airbnb once it has been determined that you are approved to bring your pet. We ask that all your pets have had their preventative flee treatments prior to staying at Caddo Lake Lodge, Retreat & Caboose. Pets should not be allowed on the furniture and should be potty trained. Animals should be leashed and with the guests at all times during your stay and not allowed to roam freely through the neighborhood. You will need either a Texas or Louisiana fishing license to fish in the water. If fishing from the dock, you are required to have a Texas license.
