Mountain Shack with friendly animals and a view!
Description
Hey Y'all!, we are offering a small shack (which was scheduled to be a portion our Boy Barn). It's 10x12 feet, furnished with a daybed with two twin mattresses. There is a retro DVD TV, mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and hot plate. Behind the shack you have a private bonfire, hammock deck and a covered area with a clay grill in an outdoor cooking area. The space The shack is built with sawmill lumber and reclaimed pallet wood. It's a small room with electricity and running water from a spring on our property. (Note-the water is accessed from behind the shack and is not inside your sleeping area). You have use of a private fire pit area and a small covered deck with a hammock and a second covered area with an outdoor grill area. There’s a claw foot outdoor tub that is heated with a fire beneath it (please fill the tub prior to starting the fire, allow 3 hours to heat the water). And a cold spring water outdoor shower. We offer firewood bundles for $5, fire starters for $2. We offer the shack in winter months but please note it is not insulated and we cannot control the weather-lol. The best way to stay warm is to bring an electric blanket (not provided), we provide extra blankets from Nov-Feb. When using an electric blanket (or any heat devise-microwave, hot plate, coffee maker) please only use one at a time. The summer nights are generally fresh (60-70) and the shack is cooled with an oscillating wall fan and a removable front window. Guest access Your area is accessed from our driveway and just before the gate to our farm. There is parking for one car directly in front of the shack. We live in bear country so we recommend leaving your food in the car or refrigerator. The fire pit is inside the field where our chickens, goats, donkeys and Kune Kune pigs roam during daylight hours. They all go to bed at sunset and you will have the field to yourself.-maybe, or maybe not, you never know. The upper deck is sometimes occupied by our goats-we do our best to keep it free of goat droppings but they are often quicker we are. You are welcome to roam our property as you please (and at your own risk) please shut any gates you open and other than dogs, keep the animals on the same side of the gate they were when you opened it. Other things to note We are happy to provide you with farm fresh eggs and potatoes when in season.
