Relax on the beach, walk on the trails or activities, choose the vacation that suits you. The Chalain estate is a leisure base with rental of 33 chalets located 300 m from the lake. They benefit from the fishing accommodation and bike reception labels. You will find a snack bar-ice cream parlor, pedal boat, canoe and paddle rental on site. Guest access The estate continues its transformation towards a model that is concerned with preserving its environment. It now benefits from an ambitious action plan from the departmental council to restore the ecological balance of the lake. In order to restore its natural functioning and restore its fragile ecosystem, a first phase of work began at the end of 2025 and continues until the beginning of the 2026 season. It will consist of restoring the morphology of the Fontenu stream by restoring its meanders, strengthening its self-purification capacities and restoring its ecological continuity with the lake. This large-scale work extends from the bottom of the estate to the lake on a strip several tens of meters wide. They will have an impact in 2026 on the visual aspect of the Domain with, for example, the disappearance of the majority of the trees in the area concerned. The filling of the new meanders is scheduled for September 2026 from the first rains. The chalet area is not impacted by this work. Beaches and hiking trails will always be accessible. The north beach also benefited this winter from the planting of new trees. The deconstruction of some unused buildings will begin. Les Lagons water park is closed. The new face of the Domaine de Chalain is gradually emerging to make it a preserved and welcoming place in the future. Subject to availability A security deposit of €200 (deposit by pre-authorization by credit card, Visa or Mastercard only) will be required upon check-in. It will be destroyed after inspection after your departure if nothing is missing or damaged, if the rental is clean and if you have returned your gate badge.
