The space This newly renovated, self-contained one-bedroom apartment offers a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and style—plus it’s fully wheelchair accessible. Thoughtfully designed with new stainless steel appliances, a modern bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen, this space is ideal for a relaxing getaway in Prince Edward County. When you see "4-min walk to the lake" on our listing— this means the lake is very close by, but please note: our property is not on the waterfront, and you won't be able to see or access the lake from the house or the nearby road. The shoreline in this area is private or not accessible, so while you're near the water, there’s no beach, view, or public entry point. It’s simply a nice marker of how close you are to Lake Ontario and all the great public beaches and lake access points just a short drive away! Start your day with coffee on the private back deck overlooking the peaceful backyard, or unwind there after a day of exploring local wineries, beaches, and shops. The home runs on high-quality treated well water, filtered through multiple systems—safe for drinking and cooking. We have the house professionally sprayed each year and clean thoroughly after every stay, but in the country, it's impossible to keep every critter out. To help, please keep lights off when not needed (especially at night) and avoid leaving food out, as it can attract bugs. Please note: the lawn is professionally mowed once a week between 9am–5pm, Monday to Friday (weather dependent). Internet Notice: We provide Starlink internet, which is generally fast and reliable. However, due to our rural location, occasional outages or slowdowns may occur, especially during storms or peak usage times. Cell service is also limited in the area. That being said, if the internet does go out, please let us know and we’ll do our best to restore it as quickly as possible. We encourage guests to download any important documents, movies, or maps ahead of time, just in case. TV Notice: Our TV now uses Roku, a streaming device that lets you watch apps like Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, and more. Some apps come pre-installed for free (“featured free” on Roku), but for services like Netflix or Disney+ you’ll need your own login and password. We use Roku Guest Mode to keep your accounts separate: 1. Open the app you want to use. 2. When prompted, select “Sign in with Guest Mode.” 3. Enter your check-in and check-out dates for your stay. 4. Then enter your streaming service username and password. This way, your login info stays private and is automatically removed when you check out. Guest access Welcome to our spacious 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment, located just minutes from Sandbanks Provincial Park. During the shoulder season, we rent out this cozy space as a 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom retreat, with the option to unlock additional bedrooms for extra guests. Each extra guest is $50/night, and we’re happy to prepare the additional rooms based on your group size—just let us know in advance. You’ll have access to a private deck, a quiet sitting area overlooking the backyard, and a shared green space with plenty of room to relax. The fire pit in the backyard is available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you'd like to use it, please follow the simple instructions on the fridge to call in the burn permit. Firewood is not provided but can be purchased just down the road at the local store. There’s ample parking in the driveway to the left of the home, and we’re here if you need anything during your stay. Other things to note Welcome to our spacious 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment—just a short drive from Sandbanks Provincial Park. During the fall, winter, and spring, the space is rented as a cozy 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom unit. The two additional upstairs bedrooms and second bathroom are locked off, but can be made available for an additional guest fee of $50 per person, per night.
