W.C. Ross Manor House Nestled in the hills of Allegany County and the village of Wellsville sits the W.C. Ross Manor House. The Ross Manor House was built in 1890. W.C. Ross commissioned the house with local Architect, Edward P. York. The colonial style manor house was based on the fashions of the time in Boston and throughout New England. The Manor house sits on over six acres with manicured lawns and majestic Maple and Hickory trees. Take a walk or just sit on the veranda and enjoy the view. The space I meet my guests at the front entrance and show them around. Continental Breakfast is offered every morning from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM. We offer a variety of juice, tea, coffee as well as yogurt, breakfast bars, fresh fruit, applesauce, muffins and cereal. There are no cooking facilities. For those who prefer a more traditional breakfast there are a number of local restaurants and diners that are just minutes from the house. Guests have use of the Butler’s pantry with refrigerator, dish washer and sinks. Formal Dining room with seating for six, Main Entrance, Foyer, a large Parlor, Veranda and Back Patio. Owners live on the property in private areas within the house. The Gold Room is quaint, charming and feminine, we have a beautiful Queen Size 4-Post Canopy Bed with new mattress and box springs. The room provides a large closet as well as a quiet sitting area to read or relax and also shares bathroom with the Sunrise Room next to it. During your stay Hosts have our own private wing of the house, we are available via text or phone call if you need anything. Other things to note COVID-19 Safety Statement As a Host we are concerned about the recent Corona Virus issues facing us all. To provide for a safe and pleasurable stay, we want to assure our guests that our property is cleaned to industry standards using Clorox cleaner on all hard surfaces, door knobs, light switches, all bathrooms and common areas. Hand sanitizer is provided in each room and Clorox wipes are in each bathroom for your protection and peace of mind. We ask that while you stay with us, you use proper hygiene and be conscientious to ensure protection against this deadly virus. If you are running a fever and/or have been in contact with anyone experiencing flu-like symptoms, we ask that you cancel your stay. We want to thank you for choosing the W.C.
