Description

Wooden Stilt House · Private Jacuzzi · Watch Clouds From Bed A 35m² wooden stilt room in the heart of Pù Luông. Lie in bed, watch clouds drift across the mountain peaks. Two king beds, a private en-suite bathroom with a jacuzzi tub - soak in warm water while the forest breathes outside. Private balcony. A stream and terraced rice fields 15 m below. Weave brocade with the host family, go trekking - all can be arranged. Guests call this place a little paradise. Come and you'll understand why. The space THAI HOUSE HERITAGE PÙ LUÔNG A Century-Old Stilt House · Four Generations · One Home Life here still begins the way it did a century ago. A mountain stream murmurs its gentle song right beneath the floor of your room. At dawn, you can sit out on the balcony and watch blush-pink clouds drift lazily along the mountain ridges. By late afternoon, the world grows quiet, terraced fields stretch into stillness, and thin curls of blue woodsmoke rise soft as silk above the thatched rooftops, like a tender calling for anyone not yet home to hurry back before darkness falls, leaving those already inside pacing with a sweet, restless longing. And more special than anything else: you will get to witness my Grandmother, one of the very last traditional indigo-weaving artisans left in Pù Luông, seated beside her faithful loom, a loom that has been part of her life for over sixty years. Almost every evening, she is there, quietly weaving thread into cloth long after the rest of the household drifts off to sleep. This is not a staged tourism performance. It is simply life, unfolding exactly as it always has, for generations. This is a living heritage home where four generations still share the same roof, the same meals, and the same unhurried, old-fashioned way of moving through each day. When you step through our door, you are not just another traveller passing through, you are warmly welcomed to immerse yourself in the unfiltered, unscripted rhythm of our village. 💚 What your days here might feel like • Unfiltered Peace: Spend your mornings sitting quietly beside Grandmother, watching raw threads slowly become intricate hand-woven fabric. Wander freely through lush green terraced rice fields, or wade through the cool, clear stream that has sustained this village for generations. • Disconnect to Heal: As night falls, simply sit in stillness and listen to the water whispering right beneath your bedroom floor - a rustic lullaby so soothing that many of our guests find themselves extending their stay, again and again. • Organic Flow: Nothing here is staged or commercialised for mass tourism. Life simply unfolds the way it always has, naturally, honestly, and at its own gentle pace. 🥢 Sustainable, Farm-to-Table Meals Simple, seasonal dishes, prepared with nothing but love by our family. Almost all ingredients are harvested fresh each day from our small organic garden, from the ancient forest behind the house, or from nearby local farms. A meal at Thai House tends to become one of the most memorable parts of any guest's journey, not because the food is elaborate, but because every bite carries the flavour of something real. 🥦 Dietary Note: If you are VEGAN or VEGETARIAN, please let us know in advance. Our family is always happy to prepare wholesome, garden-fresh plant-based meals made just for you. • Flexible Breakfast: To give you full freedom over your own mornings, room rates do not include breakfast by default. Should you wish to sign up, your host will personally prepare a comforting home-cooked local dish, rotating daily between hot rice noodle soup, local-style pancakes, or fragrant sticky rice, served with coffee or tea, for only 30,000 VND (~$1.2 USD) per person. 🌾 A Few Things Worth Knowing (Our Transparency Promise) We believe deeply in raw authenticity, and sharing an honest picture of our ancestral home is the best way to ensure your stay is everything you hoped for: • A Genuinely Lived-In Space: Thai House is a traditional wooden stilt home in the truest sense, a place where the daily life of four generations continues to unfold, interwoven with nature. Open, airy, and entirely original in its architecture, the house honours every humble sound of everyday living. Occasionally, the soft murmur of family conversation or the easy, unhurried pace of village life will drift gently into your space, like a quiet melody you didn't know you needed. It will make you feel, truly, like a part of the village. • The Breath of the Forest & the Beauty of Living Naturally: Thai House is built entirely from wood and natural materials, in the tradition of the old highland stilt house, with wooden walls left with their original gaps, so that the house can quite literally breathe with the wind. This means you will be fully embraced by the clean valley air and the cool mountain breeze that slips through at night. We keep the space neat and take care to prepare the freshest, most comfortable bed linen for you. This heritage home was made for those who seek something raw and genuine, so if sealed, city-style rooms are what you're used to, we gently invite you to come with an open heart and let the gifts of this land find you. • The Language of Kindness: The family does not speak English, but warmth has never needed a translator. A little Google Translate, a few hand gestures, and an honest smile go a long way. While I am not always on-site in person, both Tùng (my co-host) and I are always available 24/7 through Airbnb in English or Mandarin, whenever you need us. 🌱 Where You'll Find Us The house sits nestled in a world of rice terraces, winding streams, and mountains on every side, close enough to walk to the best local sights, yet quiet enough that you can truly come back to yourself. • 🚶 10-minute walk to Hiêu Waterfall - a scenic stroll straight through the rice fields • 🛖 5 km to Phố Đoàn Market - the largest and most vibrant traditional market in Pù Luông • 🧵 6.5 km to Lặn Ngoài Weaving Village - an ancient 300-year-old village that has kept the art of traditional hand-weaving alive through generations 🌫️ A small piece of pride we'd like to share: Thai House has been featured in Heritage Magazine and the Vietnam News Agency, and has long been among the most-loved and most-chosen authentic cultural stays in Pù Luông by Airbnb's international community. We share this not to impress, only so that when you press that "Book" button, you do so with complete peace of mind. Guest access SPACES YOU CAN ENJOY 🏡 Main Living Hall Sink into our traditional reclining chairs in this century-old stilt house, where four generations gather and stories flow as naturally as the mountain breeze. Watch the rice fields shift through shades of green while our 75-year-old grandmother weaves at her loom nearby. This is where coffee and breakfast taste different - slower, richer, more real. 🍽️Dining Area Traditional family-style dining right in the main hall, where you can join us for meals if you'd like. Your presence here brings us joy. 🔥BBQ Area & Outdoor Dining Gather around our outdoor BBQ space where cooking smoke mingles with mountain mist. Grill fresh vegetables from our garden or local specialties from the village market. Dinner here isn't just a meal - it's an evening under the stars. 🐟The Stream A stream flows right past our front door. Wade into the crystal-clear water, watch tiny fish dart between rocks , or simply sit with your feet cooling in the current while children play. Locals still use this water - proof of how pure it is. 🌾Rice Terraces Walk barefoot through our working rice fields (seasonal). During harvest, you might be invited to join in - or just stand and watch as our family and neighbors work together the way they have for generations.
