The front porch welcomes you with string lights, two Adirondack style chairs with pillows, and a table that seats four. On the other side of the front door, you'll see the living area which holds comfortable seating including current day and antique furnishings. The daybed with trundle is also found there. The main bedroom houses a gorgeous antique-style metal bed and a roll top desk to double as a vanity. The cedar-lined walk-in closet gives plenty of space for your clothing and bags also. The bedside hurricane lamps with Edison bulbs create a nice ambience. The bathroom is located just next to it. The kitchen is a large eat-in style area with a table that seats four. Upstairs you'll find another private bedroom with a view of the farm and hillside to the west. On the back deck, large table that seats six will invite you to relax. The beautiful big old trees shade the space most of the day but there is an umbrella available if needed. The view and privacy from that vantage is hard to beat. The firepit is located just off the deck and a small outside refrigerator will keep your drinks cold and within reach. A charcoal grill is available for use also. Welcome! A long flat driveway provides plenty of space for multiple vehicles/boats and includes a double carport. The name of the place doesn't lie! This is a very old home that we have worked on extensively to update without taking away it's cozy antique charm. That said, the house is smaller in keeping with other farmhouses from it's era. There are low ceilings and low doorways in specific areas inside and the antique plumbing should be noted. The stairwell leading to the other private bedroom is a little narrow and the stairs were left in rustic condition. The bathroom is more than adequate but it's also smaller in size. Because of that, a roll top desk was placed in the bedroom to be used as a vanity if needed! Other quirks include securing the sliding glass door with the plank provided and being gentle with the antique original doorknobs. I adore the house and all of it's little old-timey quirks but if you're not used to it, it can come as a surprise. You'll be stepping back into time with this sweet home my family and I love!
