Bright, comfortable room in a quiet neighborhood, within short driving distance to numerous shops, restaurants, the Town Dock (sunset over the bay!) and the only direct train into Manhattan from Long Island. Unlimited tea and/or coffee included. The space My home is in a quiet neighborhood in a great town, with plenty to do and see on a short visit. The room is furnished with a desk, dresser, full-sized bed, refrigerator, electric tea kettle, smart TV, and a closet. It is just steps away from the full bathroom. WiFi is excellent and there's plenty of free parking on the street in front of the house. Guest access My guests have access to the kitchen, dining room, 1 1/2 baths (shared), garden with deck, and for longer stays, the laundry. During your stay The amount of interaction with my guests depends on the needs of my guests. I am happy to help you navigate the town and give you tips on restaurants and other things to do or see in the area, but I also respect your privacy needs. Other things to note My house has been my home for many years, and although I keep it clean, the common rooms aren't always tidy. The dining room serves as a multi purpose room, with my desk and computer, for example, and the table is where the mail piles up. I live with my adult son, and at times he sleeps in the living room so that we can host more guests. We enjoy having guests, and are happy to accommodate you as much as possible. For our guests, we offer simple, clean, and quiet private spaces, and hope you will feel comfortable during your stay. Please be advised that both bathrooms are shared.
