My real name for the Airbnb is "The House of Color & Lights!" I've put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into totally renovating this lovely 1907 home. Each room has it's own unique decorum and colors. The house is located in the downtown Renaissance historic district. My house and Airbnb is a blend of Victorian antiques including a Victorian clock collection and modern furnishings. ***The house is all wooden floors. I have two guest rooms available. It is $75 per night per room*** The space is quaint, and spacious full of bright cheerful colors and large windows which emit plenty of light. I have literally followed my visions and dreams for the colors of each room. There is a large spacious Florida porch surround by windows which has been redone and is called the Alice in Wonderland Room. I won't describe it...however, it is a lot of fun. You'll just have to see it yourself. There is a little bistro area to have your morning coffee as you look out across the street to capture a view of the historic courthouse. I have two guest rooms available. It is $55 per night per room. ***Please inform Airbnb how many rooms you need....one or two. One room plus cleaning is $85. Two rooms including cleaning is $130 The guests are literally encourage to use and explore the whole house including the kitchen and workout area. The yard and patio are lovely with box elder and other species of trees. We have a population of Downy and Hairy Woodpeckers that visit the area regularly and do their tappity tapp tapp songs throughout the day. I have a large gas grill which guests are encouraged to utilize. Please know while guests have access to the entire house during their stay, I and my beloved pet Bella are residing in the house also. Please be sure to let Airbnb know whether you need 1 or 2 rooms for your stay. I love to provide excellent hospitality and realize each person has different needs, and I will respond to that according to each person. I love to socialize and at the same time I love to be alone at times to read or meditate or enjoy the gift of the moment. The neighborhood is a historic area full of homes of different architecture and time periods. We are located in the downtown area which is full of interesting boutiques and shops throughout the downtown including an antique shop, a hunters paradise of a shop with many used bows and guns, etc. There are wedding shops and home furnishing shops and a very unique kitchen shop full of delightful teas, spices, pots, kitchen utensils, etc. Downtown is within walking distance. I encourage everyone to go and visit Theodore National Park which is located in Medora which is approximately 35 minutes directly West off I-94. The park hosts several wild herds of buffalo, yes indeed. You are free to park your car along side of the road and get out to take pictures. Just don't get too close, because you may hear the snorts and stompings of a bull who thinks you might be challenging him. IF YOU DO NOT LIKE DOGS THIS AIRBNB PLACE IS NOT FOR YOU! I HAVE THREE VERY FRIENDLY DOGS…BELLA, RAPHAEL AND ANNABELLE. THEY A LIL EXCITED WHEN GUESTS ARIIVE AND LIKE TO WELCOME THEM. I STRIVE TO KEEP THE PLACE FREE OF DOG HAIR, HOWEVER, YOU WILL ENCOUNTER A FEW DOG HAIRS HERE AND THERE AS I CAN’T BE VACUUMING REPEATEDLY THROUGHOUT THE DAY.
