The space Quiet and private Granbacka property area with year-round cottage on the lake of Kvarnsträsket. Located about 80 km from Helsinki, about 25 km from Ekenäs and 8 km from the center of Karis. The size of our Granbacka property lot is 8 456 m². The plot is privately owned and you can drive your car right in front of the entrance making it easy to move your luggage inside (max. 3-4 cars). With cottage up to 4-6 persons, built 2009, log cabin (60 m2), living room, kitchen/tableware, toilet/bathroom, bedroom (bed, 1x 180 cm, for 2), drinkable fresh water from drilled well, water heater, fully equipped with all the necessary equipment, terrace (max. 8), with second floor loft space (beds, 1x 180 cm for 2, 1x 120 cm for 2 children and plus a Tufon. Most of the beds are Premium class. All in a very good and functional order in 60 m2. Own beach with dock, 3 sun deck beds, rowing boat (life jackets in different sizes) and 3 premium SUP-boards. In the yard there is also a unique wood-fired sauna space for 3-4 person with wood-fired BBQ grill space for 6 person called Sauna Hut (Kota-sauna, 10 m2). In the yard there is also lean-to shelter with wood-fired BBQ grill with space for 6 persons (Kota-laavu, 5 m2). In the sauna you can mix bath water and use 2 different hand showers portable rechargeable and fixed (cold, only summers). Using the sauna, there should always be water in the stoves pipe canister (empty after usage). At winter time if using the sauna the water need to be carried at least for the stoves pipes canister. The fresh water is drinkable in the sauna and in the cottage connected to the drilled well. In the sauna and in the cottage bathroom there is floor heating which you can use. Winter time starts with first -1 C weather usually in October. Washing machine and dishwasher uses this same drinkable fresh water from this same well. Washing machine is having a option to wash+dry the laundry (approx 8h program). The Slow-Cooker in the kitchen is super nice, make soup or stew, and let it cook alone for approx 2-4 h at setting II while relaxing in the beach, sup-boarding or sauna. Wifi for internet is also available. The OLED TV has pre-installed most popular movie streaming services: Netflix, Prime, MTV Katsomo, Viaplay, Ruutu, Disney and MAX. In the living room look for the folder with all the user manuals for different equipment to see what the cottage have and how they work. All the things and cottage is by the lake Kvarnträsket which is approx. 2-2,5 m deep al-round. There is no close views to the neighbors. The sandy road to the cottage is in normal condition and the garbage can is located 100 meter away from the cottage, we use sorting and composter. In the nearby areas you can walk along the forest paths and by car you can explore beautiful cities such as Hanko, Ekenäs, Billnäs, Fiskars, Raseborg Castle, Mustio Castle, even take a short ferry ride from Barösund to Restaurant Scola, or longer away to Restaurant Kalliolaakso Castle. Close by Karis there is Påminne and longer away Peuramaa ski slopes (hill caring, mountain biking and skiing). In Raasepori area there is 8 different disc golf course and some Golf fields. Nature trails can be found in Jussarö (ferry), Kopparnäs, Kopparö, Peikkometsä in Västerby and there are some for birdwatchers too. In Hanko there is as well nature trails. Or in this tour the archipelago for even fishing (own equipment, fishing permission). In addition, the Karis train station, food market, second hand shops, library, movie theater, Restaurant KW with terrace/roof terrace, Tokmann (sorting), ABC Gas station (sorting), K-Rauta, RTV and Shell is close around approx. 10-15 km distance. All prices include using the air pump/cooler, firewood, use of rowing boat, SUP, cleaning, towels and bed linen. We even have a pressure washer for many different needs (summer time). We don't do any plus prices other than charging an electric car. There is a separate socket for engine heater/battery charging and a fixed charging point Type 2 for 11 kW charging.
