Come and enjoy a winter wonderland, an enchanted spring, glorious summer or inspirational fall, at the 180acre historic working Kirkland Farm in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Deep in the countryside, down a long winding drive, the Guest House at Kirkland Farm is filled with antiques and charm, and overlooks the woodlands, orchards, cornfields, barns, and horse pastures. Perfect for families, groups of friends, artists, equestrians and those who love the outdoors. The House The full-duplex guesthouse boasts 3 bedrooms, including a loft with a total of 7 beds (1 four poster master king bed on the second floor, 1 queen futon bed on the second floor, 2 queen futon beds , and 2 day beds in the third floor loft area), 2 full bathrooms, a half bath, a cozy living room with TV/Bose system and wood-burning stove, a fully equipped kitchen with large family dining area. Please note: There is an adjacent apartment on the third floor with it's own entrance, that is currently home to our lovely tenant - Roberto. About Bucks County A leafy suburban area outside Philadelphia, Bucks County is home to picturesque scenery and rich historical sites. Conveniently close to Philadelphia and New York City, the northern Upper Bucks region boasts beautiful countryside and expansive farmland. Bucks County's state parks and monuments, family-friendly attractions, shopping opportunities, lively bars, and diverse array of restaurants make it a popular place to visit. The area is bursting with relaxing and cultural attractions, nightlife, fun, games, historic sites, hiking, fishing, swimming, boating, vineyards, museums and theme parks. History of Kirkland Farm Kirkland Farm was home to the playwright, Jack Kirkland in the 5O's - father of ballerina Gelsey Kirkland, and enjoyed by a vast community of famous actors and artists from NYC. Owned by Robin and Marty staff, since 1999, the farm continues its legacy as a rustic retreat and magical setting to be shared. Over the past 20 years, the Guest House has provided a relaxing and inspiring retreat for numerous artists, friends, and family members who want to get away from the bustle of city life. Our Guests include: Families and/or friends of up to 6. Sorry, no pets are allowed. LGBTQ friendly. For an additional fee, the horse barn studio can be made available for photos shoots, film shoots, zoom exercise classes, or rehearsals. The 3-floor guest house is available to our guests, as well as the chapel studio for yoga or mediation. The Guest House at Kirkland is perfect for these times with wifi and easy access to supermarkets and other amenities to make your remote retreat comfortable. There are footpaths through the woods for daily walking. Just off of 78W, near Hellertown and an easy drive to Bethlehem for its historic shopping district, and the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks. Located in Upper Bucks, the area is known for its gorgeous landscapes, rich history of the arts and culture, historical landmarks, charming town villages, biking, and walking paths, boating, swimming, skiing, antiquing, gallery hopping, equestrian events and theme parks. Having a car is the best option. Perfect for artists, including: theater producers, photographers, visual artists, performing artists and writers. The barn wood floor chapel studio is available at no extra cost and the big barn studio can be available for an additional fee.
