Holiday House in Nature with Pool, Pr Matažič

Completely restored old farmhouse, retains a touch of the old but at the same time offers you a fully equipped home with a swimming pool and a playground with all the comforts. The space On the ground floor there is a large living room with a wood-burning stove, a kitchen with a preserved black kitchen and a bathroom with a toilet. We keep many old objects in the house, that remind us of the time when people were much more connected with the community and their land. From the kitchen there is access to a stone terrace with barbecue. There is an old linden tree, which provides a pleasant shade and a shelter for numerous animals. On the first floor there are two bedrooms for six people and a gallery. The main bedroom has access to the balcony where you can enjoy the most beautiful sunsets. The property is fenced and beautifully landscaped. Our guests are welcome to pick fresh vegetables and fruits from the house garden. The swimming pool is open mid-May until October. It offers a pleasant relaxation and recreation. There is solar shower and outside toilet. You can enjoy the pool even in rainy weather as it can be covered. On a hot evening, there's nothing better than a romantic night swim. Guest access Holiday House Pr' Matažič is located in a small village near Kamnik, one of the most beautiful medieval towns in Slovenia. There are numerous walking paths in a nearby forest or hikes in the mountains like Velika Planina, Krvavec, Kamniško sedlo. It is also a great starting point for mountain or road bike cycling. You can play golf in Arboretum which is 10 km away or have a horse-riding lesson 5 km away. Natural healing resort Tunjice is located in nearby village. In the wintertime you can go skiing to one of Slovenia’s best ski resorts Krvavec. There is only 12 km drive to the cable car station. Slovenia is a small country and Holiday House Pr' Matažič has a perfect location for you to go and explore it. You can easily reach most of the places in less than 1-hour drive. We are 15 km away from International Airport Ljubljana. To our beautiful capital city Ljubljana is 30 min drive and the world-famous Lake Bled is only 40 min away by car. It takes about 1,5-hour drive to the picturesque Adriatic coast and on the way you might wish to stop and explore also the magnificent Karst region - the world of underground wonders, stunning natural phenomena and unique tastes. The Karst surprises with Postojna Cave, which is the most visited cave in Europe, Škocjan Caves with an extraordinary underground gorge and other world-famous special features. Descend into the karst caves, or stop at some of the finest Karst region restaurants and enjoy the view of the fertile landscape with a glass of top-quality vine and delicious food.
