Olden in Stryn municipality is located in the innermost part of Nordfjord in an area known for its spectacular surroundings with glaciers, great fjords and mountains. Olden offers a rich selection of nature experiences, and is perhaps Norway's most beautiful holiday destination. In the immediate vicinity there are many opportunities for excursions such as sightseeing in the fjord and mountains, cycling, paddling, fishing and more. Loen Skylift - one of the steepest cable cars in the world that takes you from the fjord and 1011 meters straight up, with opportunities to eat a better dinner at the top overlooking the Nordfjord. It is only about 8 minutes away by car (6 km). Via Feratta - a steep climb of 880 m above sea level from Loen to the mountain Hoven overlooking the fjord. Located about 6 min away by car (5.4 km) Briksdalsbreen - The glacier is part of Jostedalsbreen National Park. From 1200 meters, the wild glacier plunges into a lush, narrow Briksdalen valley. A spectacular sight that draws 300,000 visitors from all over the world. Here you can drive trolls to Briksdalsbreen, or enjoy the view with a boat safari. Located 25 min away by car (23 km). Top trip to Skålatårnet (1,843 m), the car park is about 9 min away by car (6.6 km).
