Vacation home Urmel (Haus am Zabelstein) The space The apartment "Urmel" is about 100 m² on the 1st floor. It consists of a bright kitchen, a spacious hallway, two bedrooms, a living room and a bathroom. It can accommodate up to 6 people. The spacious bright kitchen includes a large refrigerator incl. freezer, an induction stove with oven, a dishwasher, a coffee machine, a toaster and a kettle. The living room is equipped with a cozy seating area with a couch and TV. An open shelf divides the spacious room and offers two more sleeping options. The bathroom has a flat walk-in shower, bathtub, underfloor heating, radiator towel rail, toilet, sink, window and hairdryer. The bedroom has a double bed with bedside tables. The second bedroom is furnished with two more single beds that can be pushed together. Seating is available in the courtyard. Guided hiking tours are possible on request. Unlimited free Wi-Fi is available to the visitor. Towels, bed linen, hand towels and dish towels are provided. The house on the Zabelstein is a former 4-sided courtyard and is located on the edge of the Lower Franconian village of Bischwind. Not only the quiet, sheltered courtyard and the old stables make the property, but above all the direct location in nature. So you are within minutes on foot or by bike between meadows, forests and fields. If an evening walk through the adjacent flora and fauna is not enough, you can explore the Steigerwald Nature Park on foot or by bike. Right outside the front door is the Zabelstein, the highest elevation of the Steigerwald (480 m), which offers a fantastic view of the Rhön in good weather. The nature park is famous for its old beech forests, its wide valleys and vineyards in the peripheral locations. The treetop trail in Ebrach (18 km) and the Steigerwald Center in Handthal (14 km) complete the offer around the Steigerwald Nature Park. Traditional breweries and hedge economies provide for physical well-being. Not only the Steigerwald invites you to excursions, but also the well-developed hiking and cycling network as well as a variety of nature trails offer you ideal conditions for further nature exploration. Guided hiking tours are possible on request. The well-known wine villages of Zeil- und Sand am Main, Escherndorf, Sommerach and Nordheim are also not far away (about 20 km). The Main shows itself here from one of its most beautiful sides, the Mainschleife, and offers you the opportunity for water sports and swimming fun as well as for fishing. The Geomaris, a combined indoor and outdoor pool, is 5 km away. But the nearby historic old towns of Gerolzhofen, Prichsenstadt and Volkach are also definitely worth a visit. Bischwind is located between the UNESCO World Cultural Cities of Bamberg and Würzburg (about 45 – 50 km) and 23 km from Schweinfurt with the famous Georg Schäfer Museum. The place is easily accessible via the A 3 or A 70. In Gerolzhofen (6 km) you will find a variety of shopping and leisure facilities, 2 km away the nearest bakery and butcher. In-house parking is available free of charge, a wallbox can be used for a fee. We look forward to your visit.
