Seehüüsli Suite / Lake House Suite

Waking up by the sounds of the birds taking off the lake just in front of you... having a refreshing morning swim before your coffee with the waterfront on your fingertips... grilling a local fish and cutting fresh herbs in the garden to garnish your salad... enjoying a glass of regional wine admiring the stunning sunsets in front of the fire place... We invite you to our little paradise for an unforgettable stay in the "Seehüüsli Suite". The space Our three floor Seehüüsli is directly on the shore of the Untersee with direct lake access and private outdoor patios. We rent out the suite on the ground floor with independent entrance and keep our private belongings on the two top floors which we occasionally use ourselves. The Seehüüsli Suite features an own bathroom with walk-in shower and toilet as well as a washing machine. A fully equipped outdoor kitchenette with fridge, induction stove and sink allow for the preparation of simple meals. The kitchen and adjacent dining area are covered, yet outdoor, creating the feeling of being close to the nature. Additionally, our guests are welcome to use the comfortable lounge area facing the lake with inviting stairs leading directly into the water, as well as an additional covered stone dining table next to the fire place. Guest access The gate will be open upon your arrival; allowing for a hassle-free access and parking (max. 1.90m high). Follow the path towards the house and take the few steps down to your private "Seehüüsli Suite". Please briefly let us know when you are in so we can close the gate remotely for you. You will find the electronic key fob incl. remote control on the dining table, which allow you to open the gate from outside. In order to open the gate from the inside, just press the marked button on the gate. It closes automatically after about 30 seconds. Other things to note - If you are taller than 180cm - please be careful about the low ceilings designed in the 1930s . - The immediate proximity to the lake means that you will have occasional uninvited "little flying and crawling visitors" (e.g. flies and bugs) in the outdoor spaces; they mean well and are part of the experience :-) - Although there is a local road called "Seestrasse" behind the house and one can hear some occasional car circulation on the terrace next to the house, it is not of any disturbance within the Suite nor in the dining/kitchen areas. - The dining areas are all outdoors, with a roof but partially open on the side; hence, please bring along a light jacket or sweater for chilly evenings. Sliding glass doors and an outdoor heater have been installed allowing for additional comfort during romantic summer storms, comfy morning coffees or sundowners. The heater is controlled manually with a marked switch by the dining area (it switches off automatically after max. 30 mins.). - Please help us to ensure a long life to our beautiful white patio furniture by covering them again by rain and upon departure, just as you would do at home. The same accounts for the electronically sun-shade; kindly close it during strong wind, at night and upon departure. - A wood-starter kit for your first fire is on us next to the dining table. Please feel free to buy additional wood yourself or kindly let us know if you prefer getting it from us at CHF 20 per kit.
