This cosy, vintage 1941 South African Railways train carriage offers a unique and unforgettable stay! The Red Caboose is just over 2 hours from Cape Town. We are in a super location close to Vrolijkheid Nature Reserve, Wine Farms, Donkey Sanctuary and 4km from the quaint McGregor village. The carriage consists of a kitchen, dining booth, bathroom, bunk room & main bedroom. 4 sleeper. Outdoors we have a wood fired hottub, splash pool, picnic gazebo, firepit, BBQ, swing bench & gorgeous views. The space Don’t let the charming exterior fool you - step inside and discover a surprisingly spacious, stylish, and beautifully restored carriage. Guests are always amazed by how much space it offers. Practical, comfortable, and full of character—it’s the perfect hidden gem! Other things to note The Red Caboose is suitable for 2 adults and 2 children (no under 6 years). Or 3 adults & 1 child. The second room has a bunk and because of the nature and age of the train carriage, the bunk is slightly smaller than the average single. The bottom bunk is 185 x 77cm The top bunk is 180 x 62cm (A standard single bed is 188 x 92cm)
