The space holds 2 tents (Tente Aigrette & Tente Tourterelle) that overlook lake Toho & a vast green space. NOTE: For more than 3 people you have to rent both tents separately. This listing is for Tente Aigrette. It is housed under a large straw hut on wooden stilts. Furnished terrace, modern bathroom, toilet & kitchen. Across the palm grove, the sun sets majestically, and in the evening, the moonlight adds a touch of magic. Go for a ride in a dugout canoe or kayak, cycle in the calm of the vast palm grove and discover the surrounding villages. A tropical night's music will lull you to sleep. Not to mention, you will be amazed by the wildlife: turtle doves, weaverbirds, herons, moorhens, pigmy geese, egrets, rails, and jacana. Located in Gakpé, this experience is an hour drive from Cotonou, about 8 km from Ouidah, on the road to Savi. From here you can take the boat to Pahou or Tori. Other things to note This is a self-catering accommodation. Although we provide seasonal fruits, sardines, oil, salt, pepper, and other spices, we recommend that you bring your picnic items, your own meals or supply to prepare them onsite. We have a partnership with some restaurants in Ouidah that can also deliver food. You can buy fresh fish from the fishermen. Ouidah Kpasse market is 8 km from the glamping, there are some street vendors in Gakpe, but there are no grocery stores, supermarkets, mom-and-pops in the neighborhood. An extra mattress (for 2 kids or 1 adult) can be added for a fee.
