Our neighborhood named Dadaocheng, was an important trading port of tea and fabric in the 19th century, and now is a major historical tourist attraction and shopping area. It's also known for the local Taiwanese cuisine. Besides of local food, there are many different style of restaurants/cafe (Chinese, Japanese, French, Mediterranean, America, etc) within a 10 minute walk of our place. Four 24hr convenient stores(7-11/ Family Mart, etc) are nearby within a 3 minute walk. Two laundry-shops are about 5 mins walk from our place. It's pretty easy to explore Taipei by public transportation system from our place. The nearest MRT Station is Beimen(green line), it's just two stops from Taipei Main(Railway) Station and only takes 5 minutes' walk to our place. There is also a rental station of Taipei City Bike System(Ubike) nearby, just a 3-minute walk. You can easily access to many Taipei sights by biking, and it's fun :)
