Heimaey, the entire "island"

RIPE FOR THE ISLAND - Silence, nature and comfort, stress passee (in Passee) Heimaey House South of Iceland lies the small island of Heimaey. Its name is composed of the words "Heima," which means home or world, and "ey," the island. On the edge of the tiny village of Passee in beautiful Mecklenburg-Vorpommern not far from the Baltic Sea lies our small island, not between waves of water but surrounded by lush greenery. The space The "Heimaey – the entire island" offer includes both vacation apartments in the house and the enchanting circus trailer "Álfheimar." Together, a special place is created for families, friends, small groups, seminars or creative breaks in the middle of nature. The large apartment "Ljósheimar" is the heart of the house. Born from the dream of creating a place for encounters, creativity and living together, it combines spacious common areas with cozy retreats. The tall, light-filled living and seminar room with a floor-to-ceiling window facade opens up a view of the adjacent nature reserve and offers plenty of space for dancing, playing, celebrating or simply dreaming by the crackling stove. The open-plan kitchen with a large dining table invites you to long cooking evenings and social gatherings. A library, games, musical instruments, yoga mats and many thoughtful touches create a warm and creative atmosphere. The apartment has four cozy double rooms. In two of the rooms, there is also an additional double bed in the loft, so that a total of up to 12 people can find a place to sleep. The apartment has been designed to be simple, cozy and consistently sustainable and ecological. The smaller apartment "Ásheimar", with its two double rooms, can accommodate up to 4 people. Old beams, clay walls and natural materials preserve the charm of the over 200-year-old house and create a particularly warm atmosphere. The open living area with a large table invites you to eat together, do crafts or play, while the sofa and armchair by the stove offer wonderful places for reading and relaxing. The cozy kitchen is fully equipped and also makes longer stays pleasant and straightforward. Somewhat separately on the edge of the property stands the circus wagon "Álfheimar" – a small universe in itself. Through the large double door to the terrace, the boundary between inside and outside blurs, and you feel immersed in nature. At the same time, the wood-burning stove, the warm materials and the simple furnishings create a feeling of comfort. The car can accommodate 2 people; an additional sleeping space can be created on the sofa. Heimaey is a place to take a deep breath, come together, celebrate, be creative and recharge your batteries – full of nature, warmth and a little magic. Guest access is a small island far away from everyday life, peaceful and with its own magic. This Heimaey was created by Thelma, a true Icelandic woman who has transformed a 200-year-old house with a garden into a small seminar house and guest house where light, gods and elves are at home. Here you will find space: • for family gatherings, meetings of friends, weddings in a small circle • as a retreat for individuals or couples • for secluded meetings of working groups and large families • for seminars and workshops with body work, dancing, meditating, cooking, writing, ... • as a think tank, both for projects brought along and for discussions stimulated by the environment, such as permaculture and alternative horticulture. The site borders directly on a nature reserve with meadow, forest and moor, behind which the sun sets in the evening and cranes, as well as mist fairies occasionally perform their dances. Floor-to-ceiling windows open from the house, so you can be in the middle of nature even in cold months. The entrance area leads through the heated conservatory which is equipped with a large dining table and fantastic views over the terrace into the garden and the nature reserve. The over 80 m² terrace with adjoining cozy "remise" offers a variety of uses. In the garden there is the sauna in a trailer and there is the possibility for campfires and barbecues or to unwind in a hammock. Here, badminton or frisbees can fly and – a popular highlight – big and small jumps can be made on the huge trampoline embedded in the meadow. Children will find plenty of space to discover and romp around. Heimaey offers space for new ideas and creativity, for breathing and recharging, for communication and silence. Here there is space to read, look into the distance, think, do yoga, paint, craft, sing, make music or dream and/or celebrate in front of the wood-burning stove or at the fireplace. Within walking distance there is a beautiful swimming lake (about 3 km), the Baltic Sea and the Salzhaff are easily accessible by car (20 minutes). The immediate surroundings invite you to take walks through the forest and fields. Located centrally between Wismar and Rostock, there are numerous possibilities for excursions to the Hanseatic cities or the surrounding area. Shopping in Neubukow, Neukloster or Satow can be reached in just under 15 minutes by car (correspondingly longer by bike). In short: you will find an island of peace, a "gas station" where you can refill your well, a place of peculiar magic where body, mind and soul can find balance. The "Álfheimar" circus wagon stands in its own universe at the edge of the property. Other things to note Need to Know: • Heimaey is an open, family-friendly house for respectful and free coexistence. • With a lot of love, I have created many play opportunities for all ages on the spacious property. Everyone is welcome to play and have fun – but use is at your own risk. Parents are responsible for their children. • On the farm there is a small organic farm shop with the essentials for everyday needs: fresh eggs, cheese, milk, pasta and much more – even wine. • There are three apartments in the house: two vacation apartments and my own apartment. The entrance to all apartments leads through the spacious conservatory, which can be shared by all residents. • There are many cozy seating areas in the garden for all guests to enjoy, for example, the stunning sunsets in peace. • My private summer kitchen is located separately on the farmyard. • The cats Punky and Echo live on the farm and in the conservatory. Punky loves being right in the middle of things and is happy to be petted. Echo is more of a quiet observer and likes to stay in the background. Please do not take the two of them with you to the vacation apartments. • The little dog Mathilda also lives on the farm. She usually greets new guests enthusiastically and then goes for a relaxed walk around the yard. • For ecological reasons and to be able to offer the apartments at a reasonable price, the vacation apartments are rented without bed linens and towels. Bed sheets are provided on all beds. It is best to bring your own bed linens and towels, or they can be booked for an additional € 15 per person. For stays of one week or longer, the house provides the bed sheets. • There are two sets of stairs in the house: one leads to the upper apartment, the other – slightly steeper – to the bedrooms in the attic.
