Pekelhuis – Cozy cottage on a cozy farm

The Pekelhuis is located on our cozy farm Huize Blokland, right in the West Frisian landscape. In the former cheese factory, this cozy cottage was built, overlooking the high-stem fruit orchard and the daily farm life with chickens, sheep and friendly cats. The farm is located 3 km from the IJsselmeer and 10 km from Enkhuizen, Hoorn and Medemblik. The cottage is cozy and comfortable, ideal for families with children or couples who love the outdoors. The space Beautiful cottage ideal for couples or families with children on a cozy farm. We have sheep, a cuddly cow, chickens and cats that all love to be cuddled. There is a nice bedroom on the ground floor with a double bed. The second bedroom with double bed is located on the loft, making optimal use of the space of the cottage. In the living room, there is a comfortable sofa bed for 2 adults. The garden doors that open to an east-facing terrace (morning sun) give lots of light and a great view. The kitchen has everything you need to cook. The bathroom has a toilet, washbasin and rain shower. The entire cottage has underfloor heating, which makes it always wonderfully warm (especially in winter). Please note: The cottage has room for 6 people, but with 4 people you have a little more comfort. If you plan to be indoors a lot, it can be a bit cramped (or cozy). Pets are also welcome for 10 euros per animal per day extra. Cot with mattress, high chair and playpen can be rented together for 5 euros a day. Guest access Our cozy farmyard invites you to lie in the grass of the orchard, read a book in the sun or cuddle with the animals. Children can ride around on pedal tractors and go-karts, swing on the rings, jump on the trampoline and play in the sandbox. In season, you can pick apples and pears and harvest from the vegetable garden. There is a fire pit where you can make a fire to your heart's content. On rainy days, children can play in the barn, where there is a shared kitchen, tables, a sitting area, a hammock, game cabinet, ping-pong table and snooker table.
