't Pekelhuis - Vacation home on cozy farm

On our cozy farm Huize Blokland, we built two beautiful apartments in the old cheese factory. Adjacent to our high-stem fruit orchard, you can enjoy the view of the trees of almost two centuries old and the roaming animals, including chickens, sheep and cats. Located in the West Frisian countryside, 3 km away from the IJsselmeer and 10 km away from Enkhuizen, Hoorn and Medemblik. The space Beautiful cottage ideal for couples or families with children on a cozy farm. We have sheep, a cuddly cow, chickens and cats that all love to be cuddled. There is a nice bedroom on the ground floor with a double bed. The second bedroom with double bed is located on the mezzanine, making optimal use of the space of the cottage. In the living room, there is a comfortable sofabed for 2 adults. The garden doors that open to an east-facing terrace (morning sun) give lots of light and a great view. The kitchen has everything you need to cook nicely. The bathroom has a toilet, washbasin and rain shower. The entire cottage has underfloor heating, so it is always wonderfully warm (especially in winter). Please note: The cottage has space for 6 people, but with 4 people you have a little more comfort. If you plan to be inside a lot, it can be a bit cramped (or snug). Pets are also welcome for 10 euros per animal per day extra. Crib with mattress, high chair and box can be rented together for 5 euro a day. Guest access Our grooming farmyard invites you to lie in the grass of the orchard, read a book in the sun or cuddle with the animals. Children can ride around on pedal tractors and go-karts, swing on the rings, jump on the trampoline and play in the sandbox. In season you can pick apples and pears and harvest them from the vegetable garden. There is a fire pit where you can make fire to your heart's content. On rainy days, children can play in the Stable, where there is a communal kitchen, tables, a seating area, a hammock, games cabinet, ping pong table and snooker table.
